Response:

Good Afternoon,

I have just spoken with [redacted], he advised he has withdrawn his complaint with you. As per my conversation with him he is satisfied with the solution that we came up with. If anything further is needed please let me know. For now I will assume this mater is closed.

Thank You

Review: Lang Insurance and specifically an employee named '[redacted]' misled me when setting up a new auto policy in January 2014 with thr insurance provider. I specifically asked and was confirmed by [redacted] that I could live and receive my mail at my new [redacted] residence and continue to park/garage my car at my parents home in [redacted], as was the case with a previous policy I had through Lang Insurance. [redacted] informed that as long as I kept the car at the address written in the policy (aka [redacted]) MAJORITY of the time, this would not be an issue.

Sometime between May *, 2014 and May [redacted] 2014, my vehicle insured under the insurance provider policy through Lang Insurance was stolen and then later recovered with damages and tickets. Following making a claim with my insurance provider, I learned that [redacted] from Lang Insurance never detailed the two addresses in policy and never documented the conversation I had with her regarding the same. She has since gone on record and lying to my insurance provider that she does not remember ever having a conversation about a different living/mailing vs garaging address.

This falsified information presented by [redacted], her failure to write up the policy correctly and documenting it accordingly, has ultimately led to my insurance provider denying my claim. My insurance provider has used some incomplete data, including occasional use of my vehicle in [redacted] to deny my claim.

Because [redacted] failed to write up the policy as discussed, failed to document the conversation either in writing or verbally and has lied under oath to my insurance provider regarding the conversation she and I had, I now have the following expenses that I cannot afford to pay:

1. $150 in towing fees to the repair shop associated with the local precinct who located my stolen vehicle.

2. $1275 in repair shop storage fees as my insurance provider was making determination on claim

3. $7,000 in damages to the vehicle that occurred during the theft of the vehicleDesired Settlement: Lang Insurance needs to make me whole and either negotiate a settlement with my insurance provider or help me cover the expenses that are owned as per the policy I pay premiums towards. I will be taking legal action against Lang Insurance if they do not resolve these issues they caused.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has not yet been resolved.

The response given by Lang Insurance is inaccurate and not truthful. Lang Insurance ([redacted]) again was informed of my new living address and request made to leave my vehicle registered and garaged at my former Long Island address, when setting up the new policy with [redacted] in January of this year. Lang Insurance ([redacted]) misled me, stating that as long as I kept the car parked at the stated address in my policy the majority of the time, I would not have any issue with having a different living address. Lang Insurance ([redacted]) wrote the new policy using the existing Long Island address but never documented in the policy or internally, my new living address nor even any mention of the conversation we had about it.

My vehicle was stolen and recovered by the local police precinct with significant damages, during a few days when I had my vehicle with me in Queens. Because of Lang Insurance's ([redacted]'s) failure to document or acknowledge my living address change ANYWHERE, it resulted in a dragged out, irresponsible, irrational and possibly illegal investigation by [redacted] -- whom later denied my claim. I received by a Voicemail and official certified letter informing me of the denied claim due to 'misrepresenting' of my addresses.

After initiating a Revdex.com complaint and legal action against Lang Insurance and [redacted], I was informed over a phone call from [redacted] that [redacted] would be reversing their original decision to deny claim and instead honor the entirety of the claim -- including the totality of vehicle repairs, any applicable repair shop storage fees accumulated over 7.5 weeks and coverage for a rental vehicle while mine was being repaired.

Because of the hassle received and unprofessionalism witnessed from both Lang Insurance and [redacted], I have requested that official documentation be provided to me which states [redacted]'s decision to reverse their original denied claim and what specifically will be honored hereinafter. I have not yet received anything official documentation or in writing that speaks to this, either from Lang Insurance or [redacted].

I have personally informed Lang Insurance that giving me 'their word' alone is no longer enough (trusting Lang Insurance with 'their word' is what caused this issue to begin with) and I would need to see proof in writing from [redacted] that they will in fact reverse their bad decision and fulfill the terms of the policy that I pay VERY high premiums for. I have also stressed to Lang Insurance that I will update my Revdex.com complaint once [redacted] makes good on their words, or at minimum, once I receive official proof from [redacted] that resolution is in progress.

Lang Insurance and [redacted] need to be held accountable for their words and actions and present/future customer's must be aware of a need to document all correspondences with both companies.

Furthermore, I ask Revdex.com and/or Lang Insurance to remove specific mention of my name and addresses within messages and other personally identifiable information that can be found in a search engine search for my name.

Sincerely,

Business

Re: [redacted]

I am sorry [redacted] feels our response was not true. These are the facts and I can not comment on hearsay from the Insured. What I can say is there is no record of any Queens address given to us at any time when any of the 3 policies were written for [redacted]. I have spoken to [redacted] claims and the check was mailed out to [redacted] on 6/**/2014 and it went to the [redacted] address. The amount was $6836.86. No storage charges were applied because the insured is having the repairs done at that shop. Also no rental has been set up as of yet. On 6/**/2014 the claims department tried to set it up for the insured through [redacted] and [redacted] was going to get in touch with [redacted]. As of today they don't show anything set up as far as rental. [redacted] would have to contact [redacted] and [redacted] under claim number [redacted] to have it set up.

There is not much more I can say on this. We did work for [redacted] on his claim and feel we did get his claim covered.

I hope this will clear the complaint.

Thank You

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT YET been resolved:

?

Once again Lang Insurance is being untruthful or is misrepresenting the facts surrounding the policy write up and specifically regarding the parking/garaging address situation. They are simply taking the word of an employee ([redacted]) who was untruthful and misled me during the policy setup or is knowingly not being honest. Lang Insurance made no attempts to document the original conversation hosted when setting up the policy and has yet to produce any documentation since.

My vehicle, to date, has not yet physically left the towing/storage area and moved to the repair area of the connected repair shop. No actual repairs have started on vehicle. My vehicle has been there since 5/**/14.

As I continue to stress to Lang Insurance, they have proven that they cannot be taken solely at 'their word' and I still need something in official documentation stating from [redacted] that the total repairs will be covered, that no storage fees or towing fees will be applied and that the rental vehicle (that I have ALREADY taken into possession) will be covered exactly as stated in the policy.

Again, I will stress that I have already received the rental vehicle from [redacted] and via a registration number provided by [redacted]. I have had the rental vehicle for multiple days now -- therefore Lang Insurance continues to state incorrect information and fails to keep accurate documentation on these important matters. It troubles me that Lang Insurance stated in their response that there is no record of me requesting or taking possession of the rental car, of which I again have had for multiple days. Does that mean that when it comes time to foot the bill for the rental car, I will again run into hassle from [redacted] and Lang Insurance? Lang Insurance needs to improve their act immediately!

To summarize, I will not risk retracting or accepting words over a telephone as a so-called resolution, after all the troubles experienced since early May of 2014. I will again either need official documentation from [redacted] stating all the coverages that will be fulfilled under the policy or as an alternative, we can wait until the car has been duly repaired and fully released to me without hidden fees or other problematic findings.

As a side note, I have now learned that because of Lang Insurance's actions and in-actions, I have been dropped from my policy with Lang Insurance as of July [redacted], 2014. Lang Insurance should return my last premium payment as a good faith measure if not a legal requirement to do so!

Sincerely,
