Review: On June 27 2012 I sign a contract with the [redacted] Langone, the main reason for this complaint is that I was requested by him to give him a check for $ 800.00 for the extra work that I asked to be done. This $800.00 was for him to buy the material from his supplier ( [redacted] Landscapes ) He stated that the only way he could get the material was to pay them first. I understood that and wrote him a check to him for that amount. This was something we wanted to have done. This was not part of the original service contract. This was verbal contract between him, myself and my wife. This was on Oct 23,2012, I called him Nov 9 and he called me back the next day. He told me that [redacted] order the wrong color, he then said to me that it was to cold to finish this job this year and that he would finish it next spring 2013. He said that he would write up another contract for the new work. I tried to call him on April the 8th,2013.This is when I found out that he was no longer in business. I also have a lot of problems from the job that he did from last year. There is only three things that we have a problem with. 1. Is A Safety issue, that is our patio steps fell apart at two places, my daughter and myself fell down due to the steps. 2. There are three area in our yard where they planted grass seed and did not grow in, my yard is very muddy at times. 3. Still apart of the steps raised up during the winter and we could not open our patio door. All of those things are part of our contract.Desired Settlement: The first thing is to get the money that he owes us, I say it that way because he did some other things that we asked to have done. we also wanted some extra plants and to have them planted. He stated that it would cost us $250 extra and he also upgraded a low voltage panel and he told us that this item would be $120 more. We agree and he did do those two things for us. So what we would like is to at least get $430 and for him to fix our steps and re-seed our grass. If not I want the $800 back.
