In early April we paid a required deposit for lawn services and sod of over $1400 dollars in the form of a check which he cashed immediately. After several months of either numerous promises to start followed by periods of no response for weeks and weeks, and after numerous demand emails and text messages and voicemails, *** finally responded in email. He stated that he was deeply sorry and agreed to mail a check within 7 days. That was 45 days ago and despite phone calls, messages and emails he has not responded. I believe he only made that promise because I threatened further actions
I was in contact with the customer the entire time and updated them as to why I was delayed. He has been a customer of mine for several years, this was not a 1 time job. I never agreed to any timeline (he stated 7 days!) to return their money or any interest or inconvenience fees.
I was completely transparent with the challenges we were having. The customer continued with his written threats to file a complaint with Revdex.com, legal action and that he would "destroy my business on social media". Once he started making threats my willingness to resolve the issue quickly declined. Not paying him back was not done out of malice, we simply didn't have the funds at the time. I am a family man and take pride in my business as my name is represented.
We mailed the customer a cashiers check for $1407.25 on 7/29/19 and advised this customer that I no longer wish to do business with him.
