My last phone call to the owner when he said the plumber had cracked the tub, I inform him its almost imposable to tighten the drain piece due the fact the drain is a thin pcv materiel an the tub shoe is metal an the tub is hard fiberglass when an if you over thigh en the drain you ether will strip the tub shoe or pinch out the gasket.I could see damaging a tub if all parts are metal.An like I said earlier the crack could have been undetected by the eye untill we used a rag to wipe the pipe dope off thats when the crack showed up.***

I am rejecting this response because:The visit on 1-26-was due to a leak in the shower on the other end of the bathroom, but that was repaired at that time, and is not related to this case at allThe quality of the repair is why we turned to Lanier Plumbing again when we discovered a leak at another part of the house in March 2015. On 3-5-Lanier Plumbing was called out to repair a water leak from the bathtubThe plumber opened the ceiling to look at the tub and discovered the gasket around the drain had blown outThe plumber and we declined a repair of that gasket at the time because we wanted to talk to our insurance company. We called an insurance agent out afterward, and he surveyed the tub, the ceiling with the water stains, and the blown gasket, and took pictures of all of thisThere was no crack in the tub.We called Lanier Plumbing out to the house again on 3-17-to replace the blown gasketAfter the repair the plumber said there was a crack in the tubThere had not been a crack in the tub before the plumber's repairThe plumber quickly collected his payment and leftWe contacted our insurance agent to get the pictures he had takenOnce we received those we saw proof that there was not a crack in the tub before the gasket repair on 3-17-2015.

around tub drain but could not made the leak appear. cost $160.00 Was called back out on 3-5-2015 for wet spot same place found small wet spot at tub drain told cust need to call his insurance company to see if they cover tub leaks no charge for service call. returned on 3-17-2015 told cust that the leak was at his tub drain again , when plumber was cleaning around tub drain with a rag now you could see a small crack in the tub at the drain were we told him it was leaking.He then said we made the crack, if we made the crack were did the water come from on the ceiling be fore we should up that's why we were called out to find.
