Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The business claims part of the bullet proofing process was to install a new Oil Cooler prior to us purchasing the truck We had to pay to install a new Oil Cooler shortly after purchasing the truck which is evidence that an Oil Cooler was not installed prior to purchase This supports our claim of advertising The dealer has not offered to reimburse us for the repairs for these items that the truck was advertised as already having Regards, *** [redacted]

I stand by my previous statements and the warranty that we included in his purchase dose not cover any of the repairs he has in his complainthe had inspected the truck before he purchased it and found no problems and was happy with the truck when he left our lotnor did we authorize him to take it to any other facility for repairs .in fact we told him to bring the truck back and we would have it inspected and have any repairs needed to be done at our shopand make it right at our expense

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]  Thank you for allowing me to submit a rebuttal. I disagree with Lanigan’s Auto Sales response because the timeline is off and statements made are inaccurate. The salesman [redacted] and I did not speak when I got home after purchasing truck on Saturday 1/14 as he stated. We did not speak until Wednesday 1/18 because I called him to find out details about the warranty and let him know of the issues on the truck. I did not drive the truck for several days as he also stated. I parked the truck Saturday night and it sat in driveway for remainder of the weekend. Monday morning I noticed the leak under the vehicle. I made an appointment for Tuesday 1/17 with a reputable repair shop that specializes in Dodge trucks, not a “friend’s garage”. I received a call from Enterprise Engine on Wednesday 1/18 about the extensive work that needed done. I immediately contacted [redacted] to find out details of the warranty and inform him of the issues with the newly purchased truck. He told me it is a “basic warranty” and only covers engine and transmission and would not cover the repairs needed for the vehicle. He told me because I lived far away to move forward with repairs and “Lanigan’s Auto Sales would make it right”. I returned phone call to Enterprise Engine and gave the approval to repair truck. There was no offer to bring vehicle 126 miles back to Lanigan’s dealership for repairs. When I faxed [redacted] a copy of the bill on Saturday 1/21 and he saw the price for total repairs, he then stated I should’ve brought vehicle back to them because they can get repairs at a cheaper labor rate. At this time, he disputed that the vehicle needed those repairs but, he said he would talk to the owner and see how they could help. There were many phone calls and text messages to [redacted] over the next few weeks to discuss a resolution about the repairs. I kept getting the response of, he was “waiting on an answer from the owner”. On February 9th, I received a text message from [redacted] and it stated, “At this point he is not going to participate”. Within the last month since I filed a claim with Revdex.com on 2/9/17, this vehicle purchased from Lanigan’s Auto Sales has broken down TWICE. I have attached a receipt for an alternator that was needed and also a picture showing the latest issue with truck. The picture is of a metal coolant line next to engine block that goes from radiator into the heater core. It ruptured because weak from rust and left me stranded on I-77 turnpike in West Virginia. The truck is currently back at Enterprise Engine waiting on parts for repair. As you can see, this is not an “immaculate, rust free truck” as stated from the beginning by [redacted]. . I regret purchasing this vehicle and giving my business to Lanigan’s Auto Sales.Regards,
[redacted]

The business claims part of the bullet proofing process was to install a new Oil Cooler prior to us purchasing the truck.  We had to pay to install a new Oil Cooler shortly after purchasing the truck which is evidence that an Oil Cooler was not installed prior to purchase.  This supports our claim of false advertising.  The dealer has not offered to reimburse us for the repairs for these items that the truck was advertised as already having.
