Review: I bought my house 08/12, I called Lansdale Electric twice to see if they could inform what was wrong with my electric (I had continuous power surges, and when my house was inspected, electric was never an issue)so I could hire an electrician to fix the problem. Both times they told me I would just have to hire an electrician. I hired one and the power surges still continued, so I hired a new electrician (thinking he was incompetent). On 08/11/13 I came home to no power, there was no storm or inclement weather, and I was the only house on the block to not have power. Lansdale came out and informed me that my neutral line was fried on my telephone pole. They fixed the pole, and I no longer have power surges. The power surge fried my entire house electronics: refrigerator, oven, dehumidifier, 6 surge protectors, 2 flat screen TVs, 2 DVD players, Wii playstation, router, cable box. This was complete negligence and preventable; I don't know electric lingo, but I was denied help when called and I spent a large sum on electricians and my entire new house's new appliances are gone.Desired Settlement: Cost to replace my appliances and my electrician charges:
LG refrigerator :$1900
40 in Flat screen TV: $498
32 in Flat screen TV: $399
2 DVD players: $148
Cable Box:$50
Dehumidifier: $282
Oven: $890
6 surge protectors: $180
Wii: $290
Router: $89
2 Electrician service: $720 TOTALING: $5,446

Dear [redacted],
Below is the Borough of Lansdale’s response to Revdex.com’s ID [redacted]:
¦ Customer’s Description of the problem: Please see attached Customer’s Statement of the Problem
¦ Borough’s Investigation: Please see attached e-mail correspondence and Borough Electric Ordinance
¦ Borough’s Decision: Based on the Borough’s electric policies (ordinance) Article II, Chapter 65-4, the Borough is not responsible for loss or damage. When a new customer signs up for electrical service they must sign an Electric Service Application (a copy is ensclosed) which references the Borough’s ordinance. The Borough has forward the claim to its insurance provider, [redacted] Insurance, and they have denied the claim.
