Lansdowne Aesthetic Center: Yaqub Baraki, MD Reviews (2)

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:My request to resolve this issue has not been completely resolved by Dr. Baraki’s response (see details below).  I would like an apology from Ms. Shabnam N[redacted] and willing to accept the $133.00 for the remaining two sessions.  My request for a full refund was not necessarily to seek compensation in this case, it was due to refusing to continue my session with the original services and for being discourteous to me and dismissive of my rights as a customer.  If Dr. Baraki’s office complies with my request aforementioned, I am happy to close the case.1.  Ms. Shabnam failed to introduce herself and her position during my visit.  Her introduction after the fact is too late and makes no difference to this situation.  2.  I purchased a package of 6 laser hair removal sessions over the phone.  I made it clear that I only need this package as a touch-up.  This package was not sold to me as first-time treatment services, it was sold as touch-up treatment, and was discussed during consultation visit.  3.  Every session I had in that office did not exceed 30 minutes.  A full service on any area takes more than 30 minutes. This proves that my package was only touch-up and not full treatment.  4.  If all services are documented in their very organized and descriptive EMR, and if it was an issue, then it should’ve been raised on the first session why wait until the 4th session. I  should I have been provided a copy of the service on each visit. Whatever is documented in the system, has only been hearsay and at one end.  I have NOT been given one single copy of any service from this office. 5.  Ms. Shabnam’s false accusation of threatening Sophia and Elizabeth is clearly incorrect. ( please see attachment a thank you letter dated 16 August 2017 that I mailed to Dr. Baraki’s office). This proves my intention to resolve any misunderstanding.6. Online review forums like [redacted] and Revdex.com are not threatening social media tools, they are a platform for customers to highlight—positively or negatively—various aspects of business.  Dr.Baraki’s office failed to leverage a good opportunity to resolve a customer's problem and/or improve business practices during my last visit.  7. Sophia did not do me a favor to only do it this one time just to settle the dispute. She agreed to complete the treatment package and acknowledged the confusion.  For that reason, I mailed a thank you letter and returned to continue my treatment. Otherwise, there would be no reason from me to drive 40 miles to that office if the issue had not been resolved. 8. I paid the full amount in advance.  There is really no reason for an opportunity to expand the treatment areas without paying for them, as claimed.   Thank you
Regards,
[redacted]

To whom it may concern,First and foremost would like to introduce myself as Shabam, the office Manager/administrator for Lansdowne Aesthetic. Sophia is my assistant and unfortunately, we have both been on the receiving end of threats and accusations from this client, She had purchased a package of 6...

laser hair removal sessions on a large area as advertised on [redacted] for $399 on 12/23/2016. She chose to treat her lower legs below the knees. She was treated on 3/24/17 and 7/15/17 as clearly documented In our very organized and descriptive EMR made specifically for medical esthetics by the laser technician, $399 has always been the fee to cover ONE large area of client's choice. She was see and treated on 3.24.17 and 7/15/17 as clearly documented in our EMR by the laser technician who is no longer employed at our facility. one of our other laser technician Elizabeth the client made claims that her full legs, bikini, upper lip, and chin had been treated previously as well while yelling at Sophia and Elizabeth and threatening to complain on social media if not treated. Both my assistant Sophia and our laser technician explained to her that it is documented that only her legs were treated the previous two times as documented by our laser technician and that the package she purchased is only for lower legs. Sophila explained that We cannot treat areas not paid for but if the previous technician was doing her a favor perhaps because they were friends we would only do it this one time just to settle the dispute and prevent other clients from being disturbed, but in the future she has to pay for the additional areas if she wants the other areas treated, The patient understood ånd agreed  and had the treatment and the appropriate documentation were made on the EMR. On her next visit on 9/13/17, Cindy, the new aesthetician laser technician was present and yet again the client made claims that previously she was treated for full legs, bikini, upper lip, chir and now an additional area toes. It seems to me the client saw a opportunity to expand the treatment areas without paying for them simply because she saw a new esthetician. We document every session and all the areas that are treated on our EMR in order to keep detailed records of every person treated, the amount billed, the area treated and the precise laser settings used. Anyone who has ever had any type of laser hair removal knows that her claims of being treated for ALL these various areas is simply inconceivable for just $399. Our prices are clearly listed on [redacted] and have been the same for the past year. We always strive to keep clients happy but trying to take advantage of new employees by threatening to complain is appalling. It is even more disturbing to hear that she wants a refund after underpaying and forcing excessive treatment areas. There is absolutely no grounds for a refund. If anything she should be sent a bill for all the additional areas she has demanded treatment for without paying, We always strive to give our clients the best experience possible and enforce strict guidelines upon our staff for customer satisfaction but we won't allow our employees to be exploited by this type of Crookedness and profiteering as presented on numerous occasions by [redacted] has had 4 treatments of a six treatment package with two treatments remaining. Even though, this was a special pricing given to her the package broken into six treatment is $66.50 per session, and in good faith of resolving this issues we will refund her last remaining two sessions which will be (2x66.50=133). [redacted] has knowingly taken advantage of the situation when treated by other laser technicians at the practice by including various areas not part of her treatment package that she initially purchased. Coples of the purchased package and her treatment session as well as a detailed note documented on EMR by our technician is attached.
