From: Young W***< [redacted] @***.com>Date: Wed, Oct 19, at 12:PMSubject: Re: [redacted] To: [redacted] < [redacted] @myRevdex.com.org>Hi [redacted] , here is our response to the complaint from [redacted] ***We are very sorry that [redacted] had a bad experience at our dry cleanersIt is our policy that whenever anyone drops off an order for any of our services (dry cleaning, alterations, shoe repairs, etc.), they are given a claim ticket that outlines the service requested, as well as the cost for those services before they leaveAs such, [redacted] was also given a claim ticket for her alterations at time of drop off that showed how much she would owe when she picked up her clothes [redacted] came in to pick up her clothes and expressed her unhappiness with the cost and misunderstandingUnfortunately, there is not much we can do once the work has already been doneHad she reviewed the claim ticket when she received it and let us know that she did not agree with the cost, we could have figured out the options - to cancel one or more of the ordersOnce the work is done, we can't undo it, or the work that was put into the alterations [redacted] makes it sound like it was a simple hemming job, but hemming a plus-sized dress is more difficult and brings along some additional challenges that opens up the chances for errorBecause the work had already been completed, we are not able to give her a full refund for the two dresses that she demanded, but we offered her a 10% store credit for her next order which she unfortunately is not happy withWe cannot give her the refund for the dresses, but we are happy to try to come to a reasonable resolution that works for both partiesOn the comment of not having a price list posted for alterations, we are taking this into considerationLansdowne Cleaners

I am rejecting this response because: The business is not willing to come to a resolution regarding the matter that I find acceptableMy mother and I visited Lansdowne Cleaners twice in an effort to resolve the matterI myself went a third timeThe owner Young O* specifically said "we will not discuss this any further" after offering the completely unacceptable 10% discount on a future orderI would not want this business to do any further work after the treatment I had receivedIt was that horriblePlease bear in mind this was $208!!! This wasn't a fair price to begin with and this business not having a price list is their way of ripping customers offI have shopped around to other cleaners who have stated they would have charged $30-$per dressIn addition many have stated it is a simple hemThere was no need to take in shoulders, or waist or alter these dresses in some drastic fashion changing it's style altogether.These were also not plus-sized sundressesI am very offended by thatTwo of the dresses were from *** *** Factory and are a size SMALLOne is from the *** *** Retail store and is also a size SMALLThe third was from New York and Company and that was a largeThese were goddess sundresses and therefore by nature of their style, were flowyBut they were not plus sized or purchased from a plus sized retailer.*** ***'s statement about the dresses only confirms this business' incompetency to handle the workThe work in fact was not even done.The dresses still were not hemmed to an appropriate length to which I could walkOn top of that, they are uneven!! The backs are all longer than the frontSee pictures here: *** I wound up having a third party (a retailer who does alterations) and observe the so called work Lansdowne Cleaners performedThe retailer agreed the hemming was not appropriate at all for a woman of my 5' 1'' statureLansdowne Cleaners did not have the decency to work with me or the decency to respond to my complaint in a reasonable amount of time to try and rectify thisIt's now over a month later! I have since sought other means to remedy my complaint and will be having another business correct the botched job Lansdowne Cleaners did on my dressesI will do no further business with Lansdowne Cleaners.Regards,

Had she reviewed the claim ticket when she received it and let us know that she did not agree with the cost, we could have figured out the options - to cancel one or more of the orders. Once the work is done, we can't undo it, or the work that was put into the alterations.
