Dear Revdex.com Representative:We are in receipt of a letter dated April 10, 2015 regarding case ID#[redacted]. As requested, the letter is in response to the accusations set forth in the letter from our resident [redacted].On March 19, 2015, [redacted] came into our...

office to dispute why she was towed the previous night. [redacted] dispute was directed to our Leasing Specialist Erika G[redacted]. Ms. G[redacted] immediately seeked assistance from the Assistant Manager Cherene M[redacted] in which it was explained to [redacted] that the tow was rightful due to double parking being a violation of the parking rules set forth in the lease agreement that [redacted] has signed and agreed to. [redacted] was not satisfied with this answer and asked that Ms. M[redacted] confirm this information with myself the community manager Rhonda G[redacted]. When Ms. M[redacted] entered my office I was on a business call and she whispered “[redacted] wants to know will you overturn the decision of her car being towed”. As stated, I was on the phone therefore checked my email to see what cars were towed and why. In the attached pictures, you will find that [redacted] car was in fact double parked behind two cars which is a community violation and against state laws. I informed Ms. M[redacted] that we will not be able to release the car. Ms. M[redacted] then called Ms. G[redacted] to inform her that the car would not be released. [redacted] stormed out of the office. As a management, our goal is to ensure all residents follow and abide by the lease agreement set forth. We are a Community located on private property with set rules and regulations. Each resident must sign a series of documents acknowledging they are aware of the policies. In the case of towing, we hire a 3rd party contractor that must also abide by state and local laws. Throughout Prince George's County, the towing fee is a minimum of $175. This amount cannot be contested as it is a state law. As management, if the tow was unlawful we have certain criteria that must be followed to show how management was at fault for the unlawful tow. In this case, the attached pictures indicate that the car was in fact double parked with no one occupying the vehicle in turn making this a rightful tow. Since we reserve the right to use a 3rd party company, if a resident has a concern regarding payment, that dispute must be directed with the company in question.
[redacted] also indicated that she waited for two hours and we laughed about the matter. This accusation is completely false. As a manager and professional in this field for 9 years, I take matters like this very seriously and ensure I hire staff that is capable of handling our customers accurately and professionally as we are a company based strictly on customer service. [redacted] was in the office less than 10 minutes regarding this matter.
