My family and I have been staying at Laquinta inn & Suites off and on since the end of September after the sale of our home until we move into our new home. We've spent over $2,000 to stay here. We checked out on 11/30/18 to take a short trip and checked back in 12/2/18. Upon getting to our room and getting showers. As we are ready to bed down for the night we pull the sheets back and notice blood spots on the sheets. Then my daughter found a bed bug on her pillow. As I further investigated I found 2 more bed bug in that same pillow bedded in the pillow case. Then I checked the other pillows and found another bed bug. We quickly packed our stuff and went down to tell the staff. We were there maybe a total of 3 hrs before leaving there. We were told someone would contact us the next day before we get a refund. No one contacted us. So on the 2nd day we called and talked to the manager and he told us his exterminator will investigate and he would call us back. But would not refund our money of $118. Its now been 5 days and no contact from this business. We aren't asking a lot except to respect us and refund the one night we left.
Refund I would like a refund of the money we paid
We appreciate that the Revdex.com is on top of community complaints, such as this one.
We have settled this issue with the Mr to his satisfaction. They stayed with us on the night of Dec 2, 2018. Discussion went on between La Quinta Owners/General Manager and the husband and they came to an agreement by Friday, Dec 7. This agreement was to his satisfaction.
We settled with him because the reservation was under his name, he signed the folio at check in, he signed for the total amount of credit card charge, and the credit card swiped was in his name.
On the other hand, his wife is not satisfied. She says it was her money that was used. We hate it that she is unhappy and not satisfied. The Mrs has posted on all forms of social media, she has contacted our corporate offices in Dallas, Texas at least two times, Facebook, *** County info, and now she has contacted you at the Revdex.com.
She indicated to our corporate offices of issues between she and her husband and we don't want in the middle of that. We are having enough issues just with this!
Since we have dealt with our own issues here and settled with the husband ---to his satisfaction---I feel we have handled this complaint.
