Larkins Pontiac-Cadillac-GMC

On Saturday August 16th around 9:30 AM I went to Larkins Auto dealership to inquire about a vehicle, a 07 Hummmer. I parked in the lot, got out my husband and I looked at the vehicle no one came out, so I went in side. As I walked in someone was walking out of one office looking like going towards another. There were only two gentleman there that I seen, I assume owners. The one man I stopped and politely said that I would like to do some Hummer talk. He looked at me and my vehicle, which is also a Hummer, and rudely stated that he was NOT going to trade or give me money back. I had not even said anything. From this point on he was rude, and no names or hand shakes or politeness was offered or given on this gentleman's part. this gentleman said well I think it would be hard to find financing, I mentioned I already talked to my bank and my banker has given me options but I want to see what he says. I looked at him and said well, can I at least look at the truck? He said well oh yes. Not in a friendly manner. Again no names exchanged and quite rude. I walked out and later he followed with the keys. He unlocked it for me, I opened the door, he stood there very close to me as I hopped inside, I looked at him and said could I have the keys. I started it looked around, he explained nothing to me. I gave the keys back. He went over to my vehicle and did what ever they do an evaluation of my vehicle. No words spoken, not telling me nothing, he turned my truck off and walked inside to his office. So I of course followed, he went in his office, I waited in the lobby because he didn't invite me into his office or offer or say lets see what we can do, nothing as if my time was not worth his. I felt very very discriminated against. He was rude and I couldn't tell you his name. He brought me out paperwork and basically rude and made a outstanding offer to me about this vehicle and mine. I said thank you and left.

Tomah is a small town, there is a military base near by, there are Native Americans who have lived in this town, my family included. We know the reputation of this dealership towards Minorities. And now I have experienced it first hand by this rude salesman. I do know he is one of the owners, an older gentleman. His brother, he stated this, didn't bother to come out of his office either. I have never been treated so rudely and I have purchased many many vehicles, and in fact I am still friends with past dealers from different states I have lived in. This has been very upsetting and has bothered me over the weekend. That his man could show his dislike towards me and not even know me, and clearly shown just by the color of my skin. I am Native American/Hispanic and this gentleman clearly had shown he had issues with me and did not want my business. I am sure others know that such people's business are not wanted at this establishment, but this gentleman had no right to treat me like this. To discriminate against people of color. I live in [redacted] and yes I know people like this exist.
