Larry H Miller Downtown Toyota Spokane Reviews (5)

I went to this dealership with not so great credit, not much cash for a down payment, and hopes of financing a vehicle in a pinch since my car broke down. I was expecting the worst, but was pleasently suprised with the attention and compassion I received from them. Everyone worked hard to try to meet my demands, while still making sure I had a trustworthy vehicle. I ended up with a Subaru Forester and manageable payments to boot! And when I experienced issues 3 days after the purchase was final, they still bent over backwards to remedy the situation and make sure I left satisfied. I would recommend this dealership, as well as my salesman [redacted] to anyone needing a new car!

Review: I brought a 2008 Toyota Yaris, which I'd purchased elsewhere, to this dealer because a recall involving minor work had been issued. After the dealer performed the work, I received several pieces of mail soliciting further service, including a tuneup. I called and left a message asking to be taken off of the mailing list. I continued to receive mail, including a letter stating that specific details about my car had been shared with someone who was interested in purchasing it as part of a trade-in. At this point, about three weeks ago, I called and reached the general manager, who assured me that I would receive no further mail. Yesterday I received a letter once again soliciting me to sell my car as part of a trade-in deal.Desired Settlement: I am hoping someone will contact this Toyota dealer and tell them it is necessary to remove my name from their mailing lists and to stop soliciting me. They should know that their aggressive use of private information, coupled with a refusal to honor my request to stop it, has reached a level of harassment. I tried to communicate this twice and was unsuccessful. The company's phone number is (800) 380-8860. The general manager is Scott Brewer. Thanks.

Review: After several years of requesting that I be removed from mailing lists I am unable to get off them. I have repeatedly called and asking to be removed and told I was removed from the list, the mailers just keep coming. What do you have to do and how many ways can I say that I don't want to trade in my car. What part of take me off your list does Downtown Toyota not understand?Desired Settlement: I want to be taken off of the mailing list like I have been requesting for the last few years.

Response:

I have gone to Downtown Toyota/Larry H Miller Toyota here in Spokane for my last three vehicles. I had a wonderful experience with this dealership up until the last year or so. I have purchased two vehicles and leased one, I had to pay over 10k in cash to get into my leased vehicle through them and I did so without hesitation. When I purchased my current vehicle I expected to be treated like I had been the last 5 years.
I took my car in last year and they told me I had to have a few services that needed to be done that were just routine maintenance, however when I came back to my next appointment the services that were needed had changed (I asked them about the other services and they said I didn’t need them) and now there were new services needed. I was a little hesitant to do them so I asked if they needed to be completed soon or if it was ok if I waited another oil change or so, they said waiting would be fine. In between those few oil changes my high beam lights went out. I took my vehicle in and was informed that I was 30 days out of my factory warranty and that my other after market warranty wouldn’t cover to fix my lights. I was told that I needed new ballasts for each side to make my high beams functional again, for over $3,000. I said no, I tried to call the customer service for Toyota and they told me that they couldn’t do anything for me and it didn’t matter how many cars I had purchased through them or how long the warranty expired, if it was expired then that’s what they had to go by. I asked the Service Manager to help and to call them and he said he would, I feel that he did call them but didn’t really put up much of a fight for me. I have taken my cars religiously to Toyota for all services, unless I was out of the area and needed it to be completed before I returned.
I have two other vehicles that I take to another shop, I decided to call and write down all the services that my car “needed”, when I took my vehicle up to the other shop they looked over my vehicle and determined that I didn’t need any of those services. I also had them look at my high beams considering I was informed that they were broken and they “had” to be replaced, when they told me that all they needed were 2 $30 regular high beam bulbs I was shocked. I was very disappointed in the fact that when you purchase your vehicles from a dealership and continue to be a returning customer whether it be for service or new vehicles I would think that the employees would not try to lie and take advantage of customers or ME. When I am lied to, to my face, I start to loose trust in the entire idea of who you are and what you stand for.
I asked for a salesman to give me an estimate on my vehicle the second to last time I was there to see what it would trade for because I still am wanting to purchase a new Tundra. But when that couldn’t even be completed and I was blown off I knew I wasn’t in the right dealership/service department anymore.
I might be young, and a female but I would expect more from a company who I used to deal with in commercial sales when I worked for a company, as their commercial sales manager, that offered Toyota services/products that made Toyota even more money on their new and used car sales. What I am ultimately trying to do is communicate my frustration and lack of trust that I have with a dealership I thought would never take advantage of me or try to screw me over. I am hoping that this letter will help others in the future to not have to go through the same thing and to have Toyota really look into their quality of customer service/ honesty/ and follow through.

Review: Me and my wife have filed for Bankruptcy, and Larry H Miller has sent loads of mail to our home with offers, I have contacted them twice and told them to take me off their mailing list, they have refused to take us out of their system. They are Nazis and evil seeking to destroy Americans with more debt after their bankruptcy. I want them to stop hounding us their their advertising!Desired Settlement: STOP SENDING US THEIR MAIL, FOR THEM TO LEAVE US ALONE - I WANT A WRITTEN NOTICE THAT THEY WILL LEAVE US ALONE SO THAT IF THEY CONTINUE I CAN SUE THEM IN COURT FOR HARASSMENT!

Response:

[redacted], I am sorry that we have not been able to remove the [redacted]'s from the Bankruptcy mailing list. I , personally, e mailed our mail companies and Sales Managers and had them remove the [redacted]'s name from our mailing list today. The concern I have is that Bankruptcy's are public records and anyone that files for one will recieve mail offering opportunities to re-establish credit. I am sorry if we have offended the [redacted]'s that was not our intention. As stated we have notified our mailing companies to remove [redacted] and [redacted] from any future mailings.Sincereley, [redacted] R [redacted]General Manager Larry H Miller Downtown Toyota Spokane.###-###-####
