We completed repairs on this vehicle on 8/1/The customer returned to the shop on 8/29/and stated the cruise control was not working; we took the vehicle to a local [redacted] and they found the wire going to the aftermarket cruise control was unpluggedWe did not charge the customer or the insurance company for the dealer feeWhile the customer was waiting in the showroom he says he heard someone complaining about “problem customers”We have discussed with all the staff at the shop and cannot find anyone that would have said anything like thatThe customer then called his insurance agent and said he was going to bring his vehicle to them and would not return to our shop because he thought we did not know how to fix his vehicle The shop manager did receive a phone call from the insurance agent about the situationAfter that the shop owner, and both managers tried to contact the customer but the customer never answered or returned our callsOne of the managers called on 8/29/and did not get an answerThe other shop manager called on 8/30/and still did not get an answerThen the owner of the shop also tried to reach him on 8/30/but could not get an answer or callbackAfter we did not hear from the customer we called his insurance agent back and we were told the customer would like his vehicle to be taken to another dealership in townWe told the agent to let us know when he dropped his vehicle off at the insurance office and we would take it to the dealer for himInstead of dropping the vehicle to the insurance office he took it straight to the dealer of his choiceThe insurance company put the customer back into a rental and sent their own local appraiser to the dealership to inspect the vehicleAll customer complaints were addressed by the dealer of his choiceIt was determined by his own insurance company that all the items the customer was complaining about were all wear and tear and were not caused by the wreck and more importantly were not covered by his insurance policyOnce the insurance company determined they were not responsible they contacted the customer and explained everything to himIf you need copies of any invoices or any other documentation please feel free to contact us and we will get that sent over to youShop phone: [redacted] Shop E-Mail: [redacted] Sincerely, Larry Meadows Body Shop
