Dear B.B.B.We did indeed sell a Nissan Xterra, to the complaintant. We treated this vehicles recon just like any and all of our retail vehiclesOur technician performed Safety inspection, and a Mechanic well check, also a smog check before we offer for sale at our lot. The vehicle
passed emissions and smog with no problems, the Nissan Xterra did not have ANY issues with a knock sensor or any other sensors at time of smog or before. Our technician did notify us that there was an oil leak, so we DID indeed fix that immediately, and before we put it up for sale, we also spent time and money to fix valve cover gaskets and rear main seal, also head liner and headlight lensesand a few other cosmetic things After reading this complaint to Revdex.comwe went back to our paper workwe confirmed the miles at time of purchase @ 142,we also looked back at our smog receiptthe smog test was performed on November 7th at 4:28pmthe Nissan Xterra PASSED at the time and day the xterra passed smog the miles where @ 142,. from the day it was smogged to the day of purchase it was driven miles, no check engine lights came on from the day of smog to the day of purchaseand we never reset the cars ecu from the day of smog to the day of purchase. We feel bad that a check engine light came onwe are just as suprized as our customer is, that this would happen, this is nothing that we planned nor knew would happen. If the complaintant would've contacted us right away, we would've had her bring the vehicle to our shop for repairs on the two sensors, We would've paid for parts and labor to resolve her check engine light and problemsShe never contacted us until the same day as she filled this complaint with B.B.B At My Three Sons Auto Sales, we take pride in selling good pre owned vehicles, We also stand behind what we sell. We go through great lengths to insure the vehicles are problem free, before we offer them for sale. Unfortunately, from time to time, issues do come up with a few of our cars, we have always ben there and helped out all of our customers, when they contact us, and give us the opportunity to do so.Unfortunately, in this matter, we did NOT know there where any issues until the very same day this customer wrote to B.B.B. We wish we had the chance to gladly help out
I am rejecting this response because: I called and gave them the opportunity to make this rightI paid for the diagnostic as well as one of the sensorsIt was only after I spoke to them and they stated it wasn't their problem that I went to the Revdex.comI did contact them immediately after I was aware of the issueI did not want to make the regular issues of used car ownership thiersHowever a part that won't allow a smog is not one of those (when the car was just smogged?) and the business is welcome to make it right now by repairing that partI have been nothing but fair and honest and expect the same from the business
