Review: My home was destroyed during Hurricane Sandy ... from the start it has been annoying dealing with this company. 5 start dates before I finally told him that I would turn into my neighbor, who also chose Larsen to repair their house and they were very vocal with me in there displeasure of this company. I know that the husband is very particular about how work is done around his house and I liked the initial conversations that I had with the company at the beginning, so I thought that it was more them than the company itself. I was wrong . I signed the contract mid April with an expected start date of 2 weeks. The work finally began May [redacted]. I was told 6 to 8 weeks. The final straw is that as of today,it still is not complete. there was a leak in the shower that was tough for them to figure out although the 4th attempt seems to have done the trick, although, after the 3rd attempt, I told "[redacted]" and "[redacted]" that I wasn't satisfied at all with the caulk that was used instead of grout ... I said that it looked aweful and it does. Many times when I had issues, I was usually the one to call and point them out. Emails aren't returned or addressed completely Rarely when something had to be corrected did anyone ever call to see how it came out and was I satisfied. As it is, as I am working in my yard right outside one of the windows that were replaced, I am cleaning up an entire pane of broken glass that they left, after 3 times I had stopped asking that they ask the crew to leave less of a mess, nails screws etc were left in my yard and around the house. At one point I started to live back in the house while work was being doneafter they were done for the day of course. This particular time, the wall outside the shower was repaired after the leak damaged it and the job is just plain terrible. I emailed the owner, who I sat with initially and signed the contract, called him twice and left messages and never heard back. When I sent him a text saying that my next call was going to be to the Revdex.com ... 2 hours later his text response was "hey whats wrong, I've been away" ... I didn't respond nor has he tried to call me back. I've asked for a signed "receipt" and have yet to receive that ... I've asked for the {can't think of the name of it} certificate to show that the electrical work has been done properly, I still haven't received that. It's been over a year now and once he got that final payment, sadly just before we realized that there was a problem with the shower, he seems to feel as if "he's done" . He isn't interested in finishing up and being done with itDesired Settlement: . It's completed to my satisfaction.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I was told that the anticipated estimate for completition was Friday May [redacted]. I hadn't heard from anyone representing the company at all on Friday. My daughter did confirm that they had showed up to work. I arrived home, assumed that the shower had been completed but the part of the wall outside the shower that was damaged by the initial leak looked terrible. I sent [redacted] a picture and asked if the wall was finished ... His reply was that he was sorry that he didn't let me know, he put a coat on it and would have to come back again one day next week, "let me know".

Once more I have to bring something to there attention and still wait for it to be completed. As many times as I have mentioned having the "kick plate" put in, no one seems to want to address the issue. I will contact [redacted] and let him know when he can come, something I am quite used to.
