Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
After the invoice was adjusted we had to continue to point out corrections that needed to be made (ie, adding our son as a dependent) The work that followed to properly submit [redacted]' return was done by myself and not your firm. I had forwarded the W7 form without hearing from you that this was something we needed. We have taken his return to another firm to ensure it is correct and certify Axels documents without having to mail them in. Again, we would like a full refund as your firm did not provide the services we were billed for; rather we did the work ourselves and you simply put information onto a sheet. We paid to have your expertise and knowledge to correctly file our taxes and this was not done.
Too many emails to attach but can provide them if requested

I am rejecting this response because:
The tax returns were done incorrectly after the bill and adjusted rates were submitted. At the time of this complaint, further resolution had not been agreed upon. To avoid penalty by the company he invoice was paid under distress. We feared legal repercussions from the company as they had threatened in an email stating action they had taken against a previous customer who had shared our dissatisfaction. The emails may have been perceived to be hostile; this was not our intention, however, we were trying to be firm and come to a resolution we felt fair and not be bullied by a corporation flexing its muscles. The company even implied that one of their employees being our neighbor would not act civil if he saw us in the neighborhood if we did not agree to their terms. All of this can be supported by email I would be happy to provide. Since begrudgingly paying the invoice, there has been no communication from the business regarding our returns.

Please let me know how the tax returns are incorrect. We believe the tax return is correct and ready to file. We are glad to assist with the filing. Our last response to you is as follows:Of course. Please find the link here:https://www.irs.gov/publications/p519/ch05.html#en_US_2015_publink100022249... keep in mind that a dependency exemption is different than a child and dependent care credit.Thank you,[redacted]From: [redacted] Sent: Thursday, April 21, 2016 10:53 AM To: [redacted] Cc: [redacted].[redacted]@daimler.com Subject: RE: 2015 tax return - [redacted] I’m not seeing that anywhere. Can you please provide a link?  Here is what I found taken from the instructions of the 1040NR: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040nr.pdfLine 7c—Dependents. You cantake an exemption for each of yourdependents. If you have more thanfour dependents, include a statementshowing the required information. If you were a U.S. national or aresident of Canada or Mexico, youcan claim an exemption for a child orother dependent on the same termsas U.S. citizens.ExemptionsGenerally, if a non-resident alien is engaged in a trade or business in the United States, he or she can claim only one personal exemption. An exemption for a spouse and a dependent may be claimed if the spouse or dependent is described in any of the following categories.1.       If a resident of Mexico or Canada or a national of the United States.2.       They can also claim a personal exemption for their spouse if the spouse had no gross income for U.S. tax purposes and was not the dependent of another taxpayer. In addition, they can claim exemptions for their dependents who meet certain tests. Residents of Mexico, Canada, or nationals of the United States must use the same rules as US citizens to determine who is a dependent and for which dependents exemptions can be claimed. See Publication 501 for these rules.http://taxclinic.law.gsu.edu/resident-non-resident-aliens/[redacted]Accoun... I gave this company my w2's and 1099's for 2014. Once I got all my books together I return. They told me that they don't have any of my information as far as 1099's or w2's and basically said that I didn't give it to them. I would never recommend them to anyone very irresponsible to say the least!
