The purpose of this letter is to clarify the recent billing complaint we received from the Revdex.comWe at "Las Americas Newspaper" are a weekly Hispanic Newspaper publishing in the DC Metropolitan areaWe publish primarily Local, National, and International news, but also sell advertising space to
anyone who wants to be publish their business newspaper.In June 2016, our sales team received a call from a new client, "*** *** *** *** ***" wanting to publish an ad on a monthly basisHe was later emailed a contract and then replied back with his signature and billing information, which included the credit card number, expiration date, and CVV numberOnce we received that information, we processed it and immediately was rejected for insufficient fundsThe client later provided a new credit card through a phone call which did clear on the system.From that point, the card was charged after every month because the Client would call the office to renew their advertisement for another month using the same card for a total of monthsSince then, we have not received any complaints nor have we seen anything strange regarding the billing.Last Thursday, after we processed the latest payment, we shortly received a call from a different person, *** *** ***, where she referred to the same charge but claimed she never authorized its use and that we have been charging her card since June 2016.From our records, we were able to locate the signed contract, numerous copies of the pages from when the ad was published, the voucher slips for the transaction, and the email conversatiosn we had with the clientAll of this documentation is attached to this letter for your review.We look forward to your prompt reply.Fernando A***President/CEO
