We were scheduled to move on Friday, May 27th. Prior to the move, both [redacted] and [redacted] had been very communicative - calling a few times prior to our move and checking in with us. However, at 3:30pm on the day of the move, we had not yet heard anything. I called them to check on the progress, to which [redacted] responded, "Oh I'm so glad you called. We may not be able to make the move happen today." We were leaving the following day for a family reunion, thus my response was, "Well what if we must move today?" [redacted] then replied, "We aren't going to be able to move you today." He then recommended going with a different moving company. Given that it was 3:30pm on a Friday and we were just hearing from him (because WE called), and then he suggests trying to get different movers for that night - I was incredibly upset at the lack of professionalism. He said they would move us the following morning in their earliest slot. When [redacted] called at 8am on Saturday, May 28th - he informed me that they would be unable to move us on Saturday either. I asked to speak with [redacted] and let him know that they would need to pay for our June rent and move us for free at the end of June (when we were back from being out of town). At 11:30am - the movers arrived and made it happen by the end of that day for around $700.00. On June 1, as I checked our bank account, I saw that they charged us twice for the move and thus, had to call back once again to have a refund issued. The refund was not received by the bank and on June 6, I called back. Both Brandon and [redacted] told me that the refund had been issued, so the problem must be on my banks end. I was appalled. I finally called their Customer Cr (XXX-XXX-XXXX) and spoke with [redacted]. She was VERY kind and helpful and issued the refund immediately. All to say, avoid the hassle, frustration, dishonesty and lack of professionalism and find better movers!
