We were hired by the owner’s to get the house ready to sale. They started to do the work themselves, but decided it would be better to hire someone. We started with the exterior prep and painting. At one point while working on the exterior, we advised the customer that...

the walls were wet with fresh paint and to use caution. The customer felt it was a good time to weed eat, causing the grass to stick to the wet siding.
Having been doing this for over 20 years, I had advised my boss that due to clients reaction, they were probably planning not to pay. That was when we ask for half down, in hopes we would get some money out of it. During the work of the interior master bedroom, wall plugs were painted green from previous tenants.
We spray painted the plugs white over the green. The customer was not satisfied and wanted them replaced, at which point we asked them to pick them up, already knowing that they were going to dispute at the end of the projects.
When the job was complete we walked through the house several times with the customer and addressed several punch lists in order to satisfy them. During the last walk through the foreman (I) walked the site with the customer asking if they had any concerns or issues. They were happy.
I had them sign the paperwork with the clear understanding that the job was complete upon their signature. The job was complete 100% to a professional standard. They went to the City of Copperas Cove to turn us in for no permits, which they found out we did not need permits. They turned us in when we filed a lien against the house and wrote this complaint.
Thank you,
