Lash Beautique

Review: I bought a [redacted] voucher on Sep 30, 2013, for a set of "vixen" lash extensions at Lash Beautique. Three weeks ago, I made an appointment by phone to receive the service on Dec 17, 2013 (2.45 pm). During the phone call, no mention of any conditions with regards to the service was made. On Dec 17, 2013 (2.45 pm), I was present at Lash Beautique to receive the service. The staff refused to provide the service to me because I am allergic to latex, and said that this key condition of "not allergic to latex" is stated on the business's website and the [redacted] voucher.

However, neither the website nor the [redacted] voucher states this key condition. Not only did the business refuse to provide the service, it also marked my [redacted] voucher as "redeemed", when I hadn't received any service. It claimed that they could not get [redacted] to "unredeem" the voucher because the key condition is stated on their website and the voucher, both of which are outright lies. I have the voicemail as proof.

We called [redacted] to ask for a refund, which [redacted] was able to process, and said that this incident could be classified as "customer not eligible for service". Clearly, Lash Beautique could have marked the voucher as the latter, but it chose to mark it as "redeemed" instead and told me that they have to do that because I had not read the key condition, which is not expressed anywhere in the voucher or their website. I have made time-stamped screen shots of their website, and have the [redacted] voucher as proof of this.

I drove half an hour to the business to be informed of a key condition that is not stated on its website and the [redacted] voucher, when they could have asked this over the phone prior to the service date. They are clearly incompetent in processing these sales offers and appear to us as dishonest in their handling of my case, but we shall withhold this judgment until we have received a formal written explanation from Lash Beautique.Desired Settlement: Make a formal written apology and explanation to me with regards to this incident. They should also change their website and their deal with [redacted] to clearly state that customers "allergic to latex" will be refused service of lash extensions. Furthermore, for appointments made by phone, customers should be asked then if they have "allergy to latex".
