Review: I purchased a life time enhancement package with lasik plus. I called last year to have an enhancement done and was told I could not have it within the month of August because my last eye exam was in August. Because of this I had to purchase glasses. This year I called in July to have my appointment set up and was told they could not see me until August 15 and it should not be a problem getting me in for an enhancement before the end of the month. Now all of sudden I am told I will have to have several exams which they say is standard procedure and I can never have my enhancement in August unless I want to pay extra to have exams done early in the year. No where in my contract does it state I will have to pay for additional exams or that I can not have my exam done in August. The lady that spoke with me today said it was not possible because they do not even do many surgeries days in August because they do not keep a surgeon there daily. None of this was mentioned in their contract.Desired Settlement: They can either do my exam in Auguest, give me a refund for what I paid for my enhancement package since they can not do an enhancement in the month of August, or pay for my contect lens/eye glasses until they can fit me into their schedule.

[redacted] is a very valuable patient of LasikPlus. She purchased the elective medical procedure in May 2008 with the Lifetime Satisfaction Plan. The Plan allows for 12 months of post-operative care (from the date of surgery) at no charge, and enhancements for life, if medically appropriate determined by the surgeon.

[redacted] had an enhancement under the Plan December 2008, as she still had some residual prescription from her initial surgery. [redacted] was still under her initial 12 month post operative care in her Plan so no fees were collected for any post operative care during that time period (May 2008 - May 2009).

We regret that when [redacted] contacted the LasikPlus office she did not understand that evaluations to determine if she is a candidate for an enhancement after the initial year would be at fee for service. Also, there are medical protocols that must be met to ensure the patient's vision is stable prior to an enhancement. Once the surgeon determines the patient's eye health and vision are stable for another surgery, the staff will then work with the patient and the physician's surgery schedule to provide the service. The enhancement will be at no cost to her (as before) because she purchased the Plan. [redacted] never came in for her evaluation, thus the physician does not know if it is medically appropriate to receive an enhancement.

We recommend that [redacted] make an appointment with the professionals of LasikPlus to be evaluated and discuss her concerns with them.
