Although I did have my surgery here and it worked out wonderful, the customer service here is most definitely lacking. I went in for an evaluation and was set up for a surgery date. A week prior to the surgery date I tried to fill my two prescriptions they had given me. My insurance company needed an authorization for one and so they contacted the vision institute. The pharmacy ended up faxing the information over to them and called them twice within the week. I also had contacted them twice starting I needed an authorization. They never contacted the insurance and so the day of the surgery, mind you I should have been using the antibiotics for over 24 hours prior to surgery, I paid $120 for the prescription. I told the office what happened once I got there and several times asked to speak to the office manager. The lady I spoke to stated I would only need to speak with her. I went through with the surgery and now two months later have asked to speak with someone higher up every appointment I have been to since surgery and have called to ask for a number to call to talk to someone higher up. I was told they contacted the supervisor and there is nothing she will do and I cannot have her number to get in contact with her. Overall, my surgery went well but everything aside from that has been a complete hassle. I would definitely recommend the surgery to anybody but I would never use this office!!
