The customer was offered an expedited process to receive a replacement motor head assembly (i.e. cutting off cord and sending in as proof of purchase as customer did not have receipt).  Customer declined stating that fan was still functional and planned to use until weather cooled down in...

California.  Customer still has this option and has not been denied his warranty claim in any way.  Lasko's warranty states that the customer must return the product along with proof of purchase.  Customer requested Lasko depart from procedure by sending replacement without first receiving cord or unit back.  Lasko has a firm policy that replacement units are not sent before receiving defective units back.  Customer is encouraged to contact Lasko CS to re initiate process to receive the replacement unit per the warranty.

Review: I AM COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED WITH LASKO, THE PRODUCTS THAT I OWN IS WONDERFUL BUT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE IF I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE TERRIBLE INCONVENIENCE OF DEALING WITH THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AGAIN AND I WILL ADVISE MY FRIENDS, FAMILY, OFFICE AND SOCIAL NETWORKS OF THIS ISSUE.

I TRIED TO CONTACT THEM TO HAVE A PART REPLACED FOR MY UNIT THAT I RECIEVED AS A GIFT. THE TOWER FAN MODEL 2551 THAT I RECIEVED AS A GIFT CAME WITH THE REMOTE, BUT FROM THE LOOKS OF THE REMOTE IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE REMOTE THAT WAS SHOWN ON THE BOX AND THE BUTTONS WERE DIFFEENT AND DIDN'T WORK WITH THE FAN WHEN I TRIED TO USE IT NOR DID IT HAVE THE BUTTON FOR THE IONIZER ON IT.

THE FIRST TIME I CALLED I WAITED 45MIM TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE AD NO ONE ANSWERED, HORRIBLE WAIT TIME THATS INSANE. I THEN LEFT A VOICEMAIL AND NO ONE REPSONDED TO MY VIOCEMAIL. I THEN SENT IN A EMAIL AND AGAIN NO ONE RESPONDED UNTILL A WEEK LATER AND THEN WHEN THEY REQUESTED A MODEL NUMBER BC THEY DON'T KNOW THERE OWN PRODUCTS FROM THE NAMES..SAD, NO ONE RESPONDED. 3 WKS AGO I WAS OFF DUE TO A ILLNESS AND I CALLED THEM AND WAITED AGAIN FOR AN HR FOER SOMEONE TO ANSWER AND FINALLY GOT THROUGH. PLACED AN ORDER FOR THE REMOTE AND THE REP ADVISED ME A SHIPPING TIME OF 5-7 DAYS THE MONEY WAS DEDUCTED 2 DAYS LATER FROM MY ACCT AND I HAVE YET TO RECIEVE MY PRODUCTAMD ITS NOW 3WKS LATER WHEN I WAS TOLD SHIPPING WOULD BE 6-7 DAYS. I HAD MY BOYFRIEND CALL IN TO GET AN ETA 2 DAYS AGO AND THEY ADVISED HIM THEY COULDN'T LOCATE THE ORDER.

IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT TO GET A REMOTE, LET ALONE WHEN I PAID FOR IT, THIS IS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS, FOR THAT I WONT BUY LASKO PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE PRODUCT IS, BECAUSE IF THEY CAN'T RESPECT ME AS A CUSTOMER THEN I DON'T WANT ANYTHING FROM THEM...BUT MY REMOTE BECAUSE UNFORTUNATLY I PAID FOR IT!

I HAVE A 9 - 5 JOB ALSO AND I DON'T HVE TIME TO TAE OF WORK JUST TO HAVE THIS HORRIBLE MATTER OR ANY OTHER MATTER TAKEN CARE OF JUST LIKE THEY WORK, OR SUPPOSEDLY WORK, I DO TO IT SHOULDN'T BE THIS DARN DIFFICULT. Review: Bought a brand new Lasko Tower Fan from [redacted] a few days ago. The wrong remote was in the box and the rotation doesn't work.

1-hour hold with Lasko Customer Service and I was told that they do not warranty their products after it's opened and used. How are you supposed to know that it doesn't work until you use it? They won't do anything about it, not even send me the correct remote!

Customer service rep was disgustingly rude and also refused to allow me to speak to her supervisor.Desired Settlement: Replace my remote and fan; or replace remote and fix fan

Review: I bought a fan from [redacted]. After 3 months of use the fan caught fire in the middle of the night. I contacted the manufacturer 3 times about my story and issue but the company never responded.Desired Settlement: Due to the nature of this issue I would like a full refund of amount paid and no long want to do business with this company.

Review: I ordered parts from this company's parts stores and they processed my payment and collected funds immediately. I never received the products and have e-mailed the company on 2 occasions without a response. I have attempted to access the parts website and it no longer exists. I have tried to call this company during normal business and have been unable to connect to a live person. I have also left callback numbers and never received a call back.Desired Settlement: I would like the parts to either be shipped to me as promised or want a full refund of my purchase price. I would also like a call back from management to voice my concerns with the operation of this company's website.

Review: Purchased a Lasko ceramic tower heater model [redacted] January 2013. This product information states there is a 3 year warranty. We used it only a few times - each time the cord would heat up. We tried it again Jan. 2014 during a cold spell and the cord got warm and tripped our circuit breaker. We had a master electrician check it out & said the heater was faulty. We emailed & called Lasko and waited weeks for a response. We spoke with them twice & they said product was fine & we were doing something wrong. We were told we could ship it to them at our expense for testing.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of 42.38 or a replacement with a safe, working unit.

Review: I have gone through 3 Lasko fans. All of which are defective. The base is not sturdy. The fans rock once turned on and tip over and break. The knobs aren't secure and have become inverted, rendering them unable to perform

Review: Item in question is a Lasko Digital Ceramic Tower Heater that was received in 2012 as a Christmas gift. Item worked fine when first used in 2012 and then was stored until recently when it was needed again. When plugged in the item failed to power up. I contacted Lasko and told them about the problem and they said since I didn't have a receipt they couldn't warranty it. They suggested I send them the unit to see if they can repair or replace it but I would have to pay for the return shipping and that there was no guarantee the item would be fixed or replaced. Shipping this item back would cost approximately half of the products original purchase price so that seems like a horrible resolution. Since this was a gift I did not obtain a receipt but I do have the original packaging it came in. I would expect the company to stand by their product, especially since it has a 3 year warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like the unit to be replaced.

Review: My Lasko heater broke recently and it is still under warranty. However, I have not been able to reach anyone at Lasko regarding my product warranty. In fact, I left the relevant departments my phone number 3 different times and never got a return phone call. Ultimately, Lasko is not honoring their limited 3 year warranty on their products by failing to be reachable or responsive.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement heater.
