Scheduled a fishing excursion with captain *** when we arrived 7:30am at the captain *** was already gone he changed our time to 7:30 because of the weather but he left at 7:00am witch I thought was odd. He told us all week his scheduled was wide open. I call this a bait and switch tatic. The guide we went out with did fish his whole life in Florida that's the web site says about the captains that work for him. He has done this with other customers one customer was told he overbooked and had to fish with someone else.

On June 2nd, I received a text asking me if I was personally available to be the captain for a certain time period. I responded yes and then continued to answer the potential client's other questions. Two days later on June 4th, without any reference to the two day old text conversation, this client booked a charter and did not mention anything about wanting me, Captain ***, as the captain. I had no idea this was the same person who had, two days prior, asked me if I was personally available. At no time during or after booking the trip did he mention he wanted me as the captain. As the sole person who coordinates the bookings, I receive dozens of text messages a day, and cannot remember every detail about every client who contacts me. This is not a case of 'bait and switch' but of miscommunication. I always honor captain requests. I gained nothing from taking the other group that morning and giving this particular client to Captain *** It was a random pairing. I could have just as easily taken this client out. I have been doing this for 11 years and this is the first time any client has every made a complaint like this one. I recommend this person communicates better next time about what he wants rather than making a judgment call about the character and integrity of people he doesn't even know.
