Review: In August 2015, we entered into a contract with Joseph R[redacted] at Last Minute DJ to be the DJ at our son's wedding on Jan. 23, 2016, paying him a $300 deposit. In mid-December, we made numerous attempts to contact Joe to confirm the details of our event. After days of no responses, [redacted] called and said he would not be able to DJ our event, but a DJ friend would call us in a few days and was willing to take over for him. We talked to this DJ and found that he was not forwarded any of our deposit, which means he was working for far less than the amount we agreed to pay [redacted]. We also did not feel he was a good fit for our venue. We therefore asked Joe for a refund of our deposit so we could hire another DJ. In late December, Joe agreed both verbally and in writing to refund our $300 deposit. However, as of Jan. 15, 2016, we still do not have the refund. Now, all emails sent to Last Minute DJ are returned undeliverable. Joe does not answer the phone or return phone messages. Our goal is to get the refund of our deposit in a timely matter so we can pay a new DJ for our upcoming wedding.Desired Settlement: Deliver our refund check ASAP.
