Latney's Funeral Home

Review: My Grandmother [redacted] passed on 12/16/2012 at her home in [redacted]. My family contacted Latney Funeral home to take care of my grandmother as we prepared for the funeral. The service took place on 12/24/2012 and we asked for my grandmother to be creamated. On 2/14/2013 my family had still not recived the death certificate in order to close my grandmother's estate. My sister [redacted] had talked to the representative and they stated that there was several errors on the death certificate that was holding up for my grandmother to be creamated and to get the death certificate processed. I sent in a a letter to the company with the intent to send in a formal complaint if we did not recieve the documents we require. Latney funeral home never returned my calls or contact me in response to the complaint letter! My family did not recieve the death certificates until 3/14/2013. My family never recived a phone call that stated that our death certificate and the remains of my grandmother had been recieved as well. She had been help from 2/24/2012 to 3/6/2013 as stated on the death certificate as the date of disposition. On the recieved death certificate there were numerous errors such as: Date of death listed as 3/1/2013 when she died 12/16/2012, time of death 4:10 pm when she past 12:15 am, education- high school graduate - it should list college graduat - [redacted]Desired Settlement: The resolution my family is requesting is a corrected death certificate, and a formal apology from the funeral home due to the negligence of the the staff and Funeral home.
