The Boathouse at Lauderdale Lakes contacted us and sent a settlement check for the miles discrepancy and protection treatment that was not performedWe consider this satisfactory and the issue is closedIf possible, can the complaint be withdrawnSincerely [redacted] ***

It is our contention that there has been miscommunication with the customer. My office manager has had a couple conversations with Mrs***, the first being in early August. Mrs*** stated they were frustrated with the fact that the used boat they purchased had running issues after
delivery as well as problems with the installation of the lift purchased. After that conversation, Joe Montez our pier division supervisor, reached out to Mr*** and sent a crew to the house. The lift was modified and made usable for the ***' purposes. We contend that at the time of purchase, we had no control over the level of the water where the *** boat is kept. Lake Koskonong and the river residents commonly have issues with the water level and have to adjust their pier and lifts due to times of drought and flooding. Due to the low water, the pier crew responded a second time after the lift delivery to modify the lift to be able to function with the low water level. With respect to the running issues with the motor, Eric Koehler, the Service Director here at the marina had the boat picked up at no charge to the customer, repaired and delivered back to the customer. The purchase contract states that delivery of the boat is included in the purchase price, however, the delivery and installation of the lift was to be billed by the pier division directly. I have attached the purchase contract as well as the two bills for the installation and the subsequent modification of the liftI contacted the customer on October 19th, to have a conversation. We have been trying to reach each other since. I spoke with Julia on Friday October at which time she was unable to speak on the phone and she was to call back. Contact has not been made since but will continue to try and reach out to her to come to a resolution. It is our contention that the total amount of $is still due to us but we are open to negotiations once contact is made

Review: I bought a used 2004 Air Nautique 226 from this boat sales company in April 2015. Their website, as well as a listing on BoatTrader.com, was $42,900 for a very low hour engine of 200 hours. We visited the marina to look at the boat which was still winterized so that we could not drive the boat. The sales person, [redacted], confirmed the 200 hour engine use, which justifies a higher price. We bought the boat for $40,000. It was delivered at the end of May to our lake, and when first turned on, the engine hour meter was 449 hours. This significantly devalues the boat according to NADA guide (boating equivalent of Kelly Blue Book Value). We contacted, [redacted], midwest office manager for the Boathouse. He verbally admitted to the mistake on the hours. We suggested a "more than fair" $2000 rebate to be more in line with the true value of the boat. They will not do anything further to compensate us pertaining to this engine hours/odometer fraud.Desired Settlement: We want the Boathouse to adjust the price on the sale of the boat by $2000 which is less than the $4000-$5000 price that could be sought for a large engine hour discrepancy. This would be in the form of a rebate check for $2000.
