To Whom It May Concern:Ms [redacted] was a tenant of ours from 11/14/14-7/31/during her stay with us she was arguably one of the worst tenants that I have ever experiencedShe had over unauthorized dogs and unauthorized cats all of which were kept in cages stacked on top of another in a small unventilated roomShe was late times with her rent and bounced checks to us within a month period, every time with a different excuseWhen Ms [redacted] 's lease expired she actually illegally stayed in possession of the home she rented from us and had a POD on the premises for several days after her lease expired causing the new tenants difficulty moving but as long as Ms [redacted] wasn't inconvenienced that's all that matteredIt was this attitude that she had the entire length of her tenancyThe home was left in decent shape but not in the shape she was given the property in when she moved inThe door she is referring to that she replaced was broken by her or someone in the homeCurrently she has a balance of $that she still owes us for damages that exceeded her security depositThe "shoddy" work she is referring to was fixed but was then undone by either Ms [redacted] or someone in the home according to the person that did the original work and according to Ms [redacted] 's daughterWe ONLY use licensed and insured sub contractors on ALL of our propertiesMs [redacted] was upset that we refused to resign a lease to herWe did not want another year of dealing with her rude erratic behaviorAfter leaving us she rented from Darden Property Management where she lied on her application with them about her previous rental historyI know this because [redacted] owner) is a friend of mineThank you

When the dishwasher was reported that it was not working we dispatched a repairmanThe repairman claimed that the parts would be more than it was worth so they advised to replace which we didWe replaced with a used dishwasher from a unit we were remodeling which previously worked fineApparently it did not so we sent the repairman back out to look at the used dishwasher we just replaced and they advised to just buy a new one which we did and we upgraded it to a stainless steel applianceAs far as I know the tenant has not had further issueThank you

That is incorrect the contract allows us to authorize expenses up to $without owner approvalThe vendor took it upon themselves to do the repair since they were onsite after *** could not reach Ms *** which is why I offered to compensate Ms *** for the repair she was not satisfied withThank you

From March to March 2016, I hired Lauer Real Estate Group to manage a property that I owned in Tallahassee FloridaThe current tenant was consistently late with rent and was tough to get a hold of as I lived out of stateIt was at this point, I hired Lauer Real Estate Group to help me with the situation
In general, I was displeased with the service for various reasons but those reasons are not the reason for filing a complaint with the Revdex.comThe relationship did not become toxic until after our business concludedNot until after the “FINAL INVOICE” of $was paid in fullAnd I would like to note his behavior from this point forward is the reason for my filing of this complaint with the Revdex.com

Lauer Real Estate Group recently bought my apartment complex from its previous ownerShortly after the purchase my shower faucet began not shutting off, causing a constant stream of hot water to flow from it hours per dayThis occurred about three days before I took a previously planned month long vacationBefore leaving I did my best to ensure that the property manager knew I would not be home, and that the issue needed to be fixedI even emailed him a reminder that it needed to be fixed while I was awayWhen I returned home, not only was the faucet still running (1+ month later), but all of my furniture and possessions had mold on them due the the humidity caused by the running water

*** Lauer refused to return any of my security deposits when I moved out of the rental property in spite of the fact that there was no damage, I left no garbage and had the home professionally cleanedIn fact, I replaced a door, and had the home in far better condition than the condition I moved inHe attempted to bill me for an additional $on top of the security deposit and sent a collection company after meOnce they spoke to me, they apologised, closed the case and said they would deal with MrLauerThey reviewed all email correspondence and agreed I owed him $
I was injured in the home due to shoddy work that MrLauer refused to have repaired because he did not like meI fell ove a floor board that was raised with two nails sticking upon one sideHe only agreed to put tape down on the floor over the cement and not repair the floor
He is a teller, curser and very unprofessional manNo one should ever be subjected to him again

We moved into one of their houses because it was a nice size for a good priceThat being said, the integrity of this company is so lowAfter moving out, Lauer went to every length to take as much of our security deposit as possibleEven though we moved out early (still paying for our rent so that we weren't breaking our lease), Lauer still waited almost months to inspect the property and send us a claim, which by the way, is ILLEGAL, since they are supposed to do it within a month of MOVE OUTThey know that it would cost us more money to file suit against them, so they can get away with itEvery time you call the office, IF you manage to get someone on the phone, you'll just be passed off from person to personAnd god forbid if you call more than once about a problem, you'll get a different answer because no one seems to know what they're doing or talking about

I never got a response about my application statusI have called at least times and left emails as well as voicemailsI feel it's unprofessional and I want to make a formal request for a full refundI paid $for myself and $for my *** after I was told to bring in my housing paperwork, my landlord verification, guarantor form & submit her app as wellI have been more than patient, but due to my voucher expiration approaching I was forced to find another houseI feel misled, and don't have $to give away when nothing was ever done

I had Lauer Real Estate Group manage properties for my business for the past yearsI finally decided to sell the properties because of the management problems I hadOwner statements rarely reconciled (beginning balances didn't match prior month closing balances), I had very slow response times on questions, and maintenance on the properties was not kept upI specifically asked that the properties be kept in good repair because I didn't want my business to be "slum lords." When I finally decided to just sell the properties I had to pay for a lot of repairs that were just lack of maintenance over the yearsLauer also did not coordinate with the selling agent on the properties in any way during the selling processOn top of that Lauer charged me so many fees as the relationship was ending that is was very clear their only objective was to stick it to the business that had been their customer of the last three yearsI would never recommend any property owner using Lauer to manage propertiesThe experience was terrible

For the past month, we have requested for our dishwasher to be replaced by Lauer Real Estate GroupThey sent an appliance person to evaluate the problem, and he found that a rat had chewed the dishwasher and that it would be cheaper to replace the fisher than repair itLauer installed a broken dishwasher to replace the dishwasher that had been torn up by a ratWe have been requesting a working dishwasher for one month now, and Lauer seems unwilling to install a working one

My wife and I rented a housing unit from *** *** ** *** *** *** ** *** *** A number of failures on the part of MrLauer in maintaining the property either resulted in property damage or should have been addressed with pro-rated rentFirst, we notified MrLauer that a dead tree on his property posed a danger to our property and persons and requested that it be removedThe tree was not removed, and a limb fell and broke the back windshield of our car, resulting in $worth of damageNext, due to the state of disrepair of the property, mold destroyed several items in one of the bedroom closets, and the closet remained unusable for our entire occupationIn addition, rats were able to enter the unit at will due to holes in the siding that were never repaired and remained a problem for the last months we rented from MrLauerFinally, We spoke with a representative of MrLauer's on how to clean the unit in order to receive our full deposit and we went abov

If you are ever looking for housing in Tallahassee, please please PLEASE DO NOT rent with Lauer Real Estate GroupIn addition to the company managing its properties poorly (lack of follow up with maintenance orders, inconsistent office hours, etc.), company owner, *** ***, has a terrible attitude and is verbally aggressive towards his tenantsOther's have had terrible experiences with this company as wellA simple google search can verify thisAt only five months into my lease, I have experienced the following issues with Lauer Real Estate:
A few days before I was slated to move in, I was told my unit would not be ready and I was given a new move in date for a couple days laterOn the new move in date, my roommate and I called Lauer Real Estate group several times with no responseWe weren't followed up with until the next dayThank God we had somewhere to stay in the meantime
Our dryer was broken for almost an entire monthWe filed several maintenance reports and after following up in person with Lauer Real Estate, were told told to contact the appliance repair company directly and that there was nothing they could do
Our hot water heater has been leaking for nearly a week and a halfOur ceiling is starting to cave in from itWe have called the office and left voice mailsAgain, NO FOLLOW UP from the property management itself (only from the plumbing company directly who's representative promised but failed to follow up a second time to schedule a visit)
The company keeps inconsistent office hoursOn several occasions, I have rushed over to the office, leaving work early, to make it before closing timeJust for them to be closed thirty minutes early with out any type of notice for tenants
It is obvious that this company does not value its tenantsPlease do not give them your business

I am the owner of a property in Tallahassee I do not live in the state, and have several issues with Lauer Real Estate Group following up with me regarding missing or late rent, Vague reasoning on repair charges, and overall maintenance of my property when tenants vacate I generally have to call there office on a monthly basis to ask questions Usually who ever I speak with on the phone does not have a good understanding on how to resolve problem, or answer my question They always notify me that they will have someone contact me later in the day or the following day This ALWAYS ends up with a follow up on my part due to lack of response from there real estate office The management is very unprofessional, and appears to be more interested on telling you how they will run your property rather than working with you on how you would like them to run it
Read your contract very carefully, because there are several areas that will end up costing you if you agree
All in all, I was horribly unsatisfied with there professionalism, as well as there management abilities I feel they are very untrustworthy, and take advantage of not only the tenants (security deposits), but the property owner as well I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  I would like to add that is an inaccurate claim by Lauer Real Estate. Why would I pay $100 in application fees for a property that was number one on my list, then not follow up knowing I had a deadline? Every time I called I was either told there were NO notes on my application or the gentleman who processes applications was out of the office and they'd give him a message to call me back (which never happened). I was always respectful, and I am simply accepting the resolution so it is not a total loss of money for me.
