Laundry Haven

Review: I picked up a load of drop off on April **, 2013. A couple of days later, while organizing laundry, I found four damaged blouses. A white blouse is now gray, another has a hole in the chest and back, a black blouse has stained on the sleeve, and a lime blouse is always gray. I took the blouses back to Laundry Haven and was told by an employee it would be given to management, as he was not in. Three days passed no call from a manager. I had to call him, for him to even speak to me. He then told me, he had not seen the bag and my call would be returned. As of, May **, it will be 3 weeksno call. I stop by every day and he is not there. I stopped by Saturday, May **, and was basically called a liar by an employee. She said my clothes were not damaged and that I brought in dirty clothes. The clothes were in a gym bag, which could explain the dirty smell. But it was most definitely washed at Laundry Haven. Obviously they are not using soap. Since then, I have continued to stop by the Laundromat and the manager is not there. Management is not professional, neither is staff. [redacted], another employee at the Laundromat, however, is extremely helpful!On June **, I met with the owner/manager; he said he would look for the blouses and contact me-which he never did. On June **, I was told my blouses were missing. After searching his office, the blouses were still in the bag which I had dropped them off in (unopened). The blouses could have been fixed by washing-again-and dry cleaning and by sewing; I took them to another Laundromat and they look great now. After about 15 minutes of back and forth bickering, the manager said he would pay me for my shirts. He gave me $30 for four blouses that cost over $130. I accepted the money and asked for my blouses back (the $30 could have gone towards the repair), he was reluctant and would not give the blouses back; insisting that by paying me the blouses were his. What was he going to do with them? Throw them out? So I gave him his money back in exchange for my blouses. As mentioned earlier, the blouses were taken to another Laundromat and now look as good as new. The Laundromat is responsible for damaged good when left with their staff to wash. I want this to not happen to anyone else. This business has to take responsibility for its actions!Desired Settlement: I would like to get at least half the cost of my clothing back. Or the next load to be on the house.
