Review: During the summer of 2012 I had contacted the prevention education specialist in regards their 40-HDVAT certification program that they offer twice a year. I had inquired about the winter session. The fee for the training was $100.00. On Sept. 27, 2012 I received an email stating where and when the classes would take place. Unfortunately, when it came time for the class I was unable to attend due to a new job I had just obtain. I emailed Ms. [redacted] to notify her of my circumstances and she emailed me back that it was okay and that she would be notifying me of the Spring session in 2013. I never heard from her back and with any updates of the new session. Since I never received any follow up I completely forgot until I found an email with my payment information. Since then I have been emailing the Ms. [redacted] (the prevention education specialist) in regards to getting a refund since I never received the services I paid for. I have sent Ms. [redacted] 4 emails in a matter of a month and she has not responded to my request. The last email I sent came back stating that she had blocked my emails. I feel that this is unprofessional of her. I deserve a response to my request and defiantly a refund.Desired Settlement: I deserve to get refunded for the services that I paid for and never received. I deserved a full refund of $100.00 that I paid for the 40-HDVAT certification class that I never attend due to a miss communication on behalf of Ms.[redacted] and myself.

Response:

We registered this customer for our training in 2012. At the customer’s request we rescheduled her training. On February 5, 2014 we received a request from the customer asking for a refund. Normally this process takes about two weeks but unfortunately this request fell through the cracks and was not processed. For that, we are extremely sorry. We received one email from the customer asking for a refund and did not receive any follow-up phone calls pertaining to the refund or bringing to our attention that her emails were being bounced back. We did not block the customer’s emails nor were we unresponsive to her emails. We have put in a request for the refund today and it will take approximately two weeks for the customer to receive the refund. The refund will be mailed to the following address: [redacted] Santa Ana, CA 92707.

We are truly sorry that this customer was unable to attend the training and had trouble receiving a refund.
