To Whom it May Concern, Per the lease agreement between [redacted] and the Owner (attached), Laureate, Ltd has at no time held her deposit funds It is the owner's responsibility to account for and return the deposit funds in a timely manner Laureate has assisted owners with facilitating the refund of tenants deposits and will continue to do so On the onset of sending ***'s deposit to her, the owner choose to deduct $for an outstanding water bill While we understand [redacted] produced documentation proving that she paid this amount to the water district, the owner felt it necessary to have absolutely confirmation of this payment prior to refunding monies After reviewing the situation and all the pertinent information, the owner has agreed to refund $to *** This check will be mailed as promptly as possibleDue to the nature of the lease agreement, attached for everyone to review, it is clear that Laureate, Ltddoes not carry any burden or responsibility to return security deposits We do however, do our best to notify owners of appropriate measures for sending out refunds in a timely manner in scenarios were refunds are due to tenants
