I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [My car is sitting at a shop now and needs engine workMy rescanned and diagnosed to have head damage on the vehicle that I know came from retaliation because I had them take the parts off my carIts now going to cost me over $ to repair my carOn the day I had Laurel Park remove the parts, I watched them crank my car and drive it into the garageThere was nothing wrong with itNo smoke, fumes, or leaksI leftOnce the parts were off I met my tow there and the car was taken to another shopOnce there, they cranked the car and smoke went everywhere and smelled awfulThe smoke was thick as the cloudsThey looked the car over while I was next door and found anti freeze over in my engineI know this was done out of angerMr [redacted] told me he wasnt gona be able to pay the guy for the time spent putting the parts on and taking them offThey were upsetI have NOT informed Laurel Park of what happened because Im sure, the way they do business, they would only deny they did anything to it Regards, [redacted]

Provider Statement of the problem: Owner contacted our shop to come tow her vehicle to the shop to be checked wanted to know what was wrong with the car. Check engine light on and car would not stay cranked. We towed vehicle to our shop we were behind due to inclement weather the week before. A... scan was run on the vehicle that showed multiple causes for her problem. The lesser costing part was put on to see if that fixed the problem. A scan was run again and that did solve one problem but the other code was still there. The other part was put on to see if the problem was fixed and it fixed it. The scan was rerun and no codes found the car now idled on its own and the check engine light was off. The idle was not correct which meant it needed to be taken to the dealership to have the computer reprogrammed or replaced. Upon telling her what we had to do to figure out the problem she did not want to pay for the work that was done. We then removed the parts and the customer was only charged for the tow and one scan. Without trying the parts there was no way for us to be able to tell her what was wrong with her vehicle. We did apologize for the length of time it took. We are not able to control the weather or emergency situations that can arise.

This damage was previously done before towing the vehicleSkates were used to ensure safe loading and unloading of vehicleThe motor club ( [redacted] ) that the owner used has already denied this claimThere was no damage caused by our facility

Any mechanic who knows what they are doing would know that a lost of power would be indication of a leak or a slipping transmission Also a reputable auto shop would come get the vehicle if the customer tells them that the vehicle would be unable to make it to their shop after they have done a *** poor job But I guess this is what happens when you work with a negligent shop

I will need more information on this callWhat type of vehicle? Was it owner requested or through a motor clubWhat is the date of the tow? What type of vehicle? Thanks*** ***

When called by *** to pickup the vehicle, we were not informed of any special requestWe were informed that the rear wheels were locked a flat bed truck was used and skates on the rear so that it would roll onto truckNot sure what was damaged, due to the fact that we did use the correct equipment

Ms. [redacted] picked up here Trailer Blazer on TuesdayNovember 17, 2015.. After leaving here she called backsaying her radio didn't work. We asked her to bring it backin and we would take a look at it. She called back twosdays later again and said her car was losing power. Wetold her to bring it back...

and we would take a look at it butit didn't sound like a transmission issue. But she stillshould bring it in for us to look at it. She then said shewould bring it in next week on black Friday. She thencalled and said her car was skipping and jumping. Shewas informed to bring it back again for us to look at it.She said her car would not make it. I told her to get or bringit back to the shop so we can get it looked at. Which shestill neglected to do. Then she called in the next day andtold us the transmission was taking longer to change intosecond gear than it was suppose to. I told her that could bea transmission issue or the car not running right could bethe cause for the long shift problem. She needed to bringit back to the shop. in order for us to do warranty if it needto be done. Then she called and inform the next day thecar had caught on fire. She ask for her money back for thetransmission I tried to explain to her how the warrantywork. She also called her insurance company and turned inthe claim. As of this time no one has found any neglect orand anything done wrong on our behalf with the installingof the transmission. If she felt like the car wouldn't make itback to our shop she should have carried it to another shopwhere she was at or had the vehicle towed back to us.Thank You[redacted]

This damage was previously done before towing the vehicle. Skates were used to ensure safe loading and unloading of vehicle. The motor club ([redacted]) that the owner used has already denied this claim. There was no damage caused by our facility.

[My car is sitting at a shop now and needs engine work. My rescanned and diagnosed to have head damage on the vehicle that I know came from retaliation because I had them take the parts off my car. Its now going to cost me over $2500  to repair my car. On the day I had Laurel Park remove the parts, I watched them crank my car and drive it into the garage. There was nothing wrong with it. No smoke, fumes, or leaks. I left. Once the parts were off I met my tow there and the car was taken to another shop. Once there, they cranked the car and smoke went everywhere and smelled awful. The smoke was thick as the clouds. They looked the car over while I was next door and found anti freeze over in my engine. I know this was done out of anger. Mr. [redacted] told me he wasnt gona be able to pay the guy for the time spent putting the parts on and taking them off. They were upset. I have NOT informed Laurel Park of what happened because Im sure, the way they do business, they would only deny they did anything to it.

[redacted] motor club dispatched Laurel park tire and auto to tow my vehicle when I had already told them not  to because they had damaged the same vehicle before when they picked it up from where I purchased it and did not take any responsibility for doing it. The evening they had dispatched [redacted] towing and recovery to tow my vehicle the driver was driving a small flatbed and told me he could not tow my vehicle because it was the wrong tow vehicle and that he might damage my vehicle if he towed it, so he would bring a 600 tow truck they had the next day to tow my truck safely. So I thought that was the end of the tow problem. Meanwhile [redacted] had already dispatched  a tow truck from laurel park tire to tow my vehicle when I clearly told them I did not want to use that tow company and to not send a flatbed truck because for some reason the back wheels were locked up and they would not be able to put it on a flatbed truck. When the tow driver backed up the driveway with a flatbed long enough to haul six cars at one time, I told the driver from laurel park tire not to try to put my truck on that  flat bed because I didn't think he could do it safely without damage to my vehicle. The driver of the tow truck just was not going to take no. I didn't want him to tow my truck and he told me and my son that he was already there and they were going to charge me for the tow and how he was in a hurry because he had to get home to cook for 130 people. And I asked him if you do manage to get m truck on that flatbed, how are you going to get it off. He told me and my son that he would nudge it off. But I had no idea what he meant. The laurel park tow driver never checked my truck to see if the emergency brake was on and couldn't back up to the front of my truck because his truck was too long.I have a 1998 Silverado with a full bed and dual wheels on the rear and weighs over 8 tons. That's why the driver from [redacted] towing didn't tow it-he was not driving the right truck to tow my truck. The driver from laurel park raised the flatbed-pulled a cable off-hooked it to the front of the Silverado and started towing it sideways. When doing so, the front wheels on the Silverado turned down as to touch the ground. He dragged that Silverado over 100 feet. Most of that was sideways trying to get it straight enough to drag up on the flatbed because the rear brakes were still locked on the Silverado.    Once the tow driver from laurel park managed to drag my Silverado up on the flatbed truck, he did not drag it up on the middle of the truck-he left the Silverado on the very rear end of the flat bed with the cable still hooked to the cable that he dragged it on the flatbed with. The frame was all the way down on the tires. When he got to [redacted].(destination), the tow truck was too long to back in the driveway because it stretched across the road into the neighbor's yard so he backed on the side of the road-loosened the cable on the flat bed and began backing up-hitting the brakes on the flatbed several times so he could slide it off the flat bed with the  Silverado came down on the back of the flatbed when he finally dumped it off on the side of the road. The next morning I called [redacted] and told them they had to send another wrecker to move my Silverado from the side of the road and put it in the driveway. Again [redacted] sent the wrong tow company-[redacted]. The driver called [redacted] and told them he could not tow it because he did not have the right truck and might damage the Silverado. I then told them to contact [redacted] towing and recovery. When [redacted] came, that's when I noticed that the fenders of the Silverado was sitting down on the tires. [redacted] driver walked over to the Silverado, opened the driver's side door, released the emergency brake and picked my Silverado up and backed it up the driveway.   Thank you for your attention to this matter.Regards,[redacted]
