I used Lauren brooks for my wedding. . We had a signed contract that she did not follow through with. We paid her 950$ to have 2 photographers at our wedding. Lauren failed to have two people at my wedding she only sent one girl. We paid her the amount for two people and she refused to give us a refund of our money back for only having one. Lauren did not offer to send a second person out when I called her the day of my wedding when I realized I only had one person taking photos! Her picture quality is not great either! I had multiple pictures that where way to bright and my flowers and my wedding cake flowers blended in with my cake! Lauren even stated as I was getting a head count that I needed to feed two people I sent her a video of mine and my husbands first dance so she would know where to be. I have e mails and text messages where she said we as in her and another girl would be there. She failed to show up. I found out later that she attended another wedding instead of mine like she said she would. And if she was not gonna show up she should have hired another person to take her place which should have been my head photographer but I only got a assistant which is way cheaper because they are beginners! All I can do is warn everyone! Her reviews on her page are all from people she knows and knows very well ( went to school with each other) grew up with each other and etc. so her reviews are not quiet real. That was the reason we hired her because she had so many great reviews but after digging into things I found out all the people that have left her five star reviews are very good friends with her!

Desired Settlement: Refund I had asked her for a refund she offered to give me 40$ total I didn't agree with that as like I said before her prices for one was way cheaper then just 40$ and I would like my whole refund back for her breaching the contract and for the pictures that are messed up as well!
As the owner of Lauren Brooks Photography I feel that I should respond to these claims with the following details : The client in question booked an associate photography package (defined below) roughly 6 months to a year prior to her 9/27/2019 wedding. The package was explained in detail over several phone and email conversations. An associate photography package allows Lauren Brooks Photography to work with brides that may have a smaller budget by providing an associate hired under Lauren Brooks Photography to work as the lead photographer for day-of-coverage at any event, general session, or wedding. Lauren Brooks Photography wedding coverage packages generally start at $2,000, but on occasion Lauren Brooks Photography will do its best to build custom packages for brides who may be working with a budget. The client was given four custom package options that were custom built to meet her financial needs. The package the client selected included an associate photographer package and an assistant. The associate photographer that was selected to cover the client's wedding is a veteran in the photography industry and has been published in bridal magazines across the region. We have worked with this photographer for several years and are confident in the photographer's ability to perform as a lead photographer. During the course of this contract the client was late on several payments outlined in the contract, including the final payment. As a courtesy to the client, this payment was not made due until two weeks prior to the wedding whereas under normal circumstances payments are made due no later than 30 days prior to the wedding date. Payment was received two days before the wedding under unusual circumstances. The client was given several reminders regarding the final payment and various options through which we were happy to process said payment before the payment deadline. When the client expressed complications in mailing the payment, Lauren Brooks Photography made special arrangements to drive to the client's dress fitting appointment in *** to collect the payment at her convenience 12 days after the final payment was due.This was a courtesy to avoid cancellation of coverage due to non-payment.
In response to this complaint, Lauren Brooks Photography has taken full responsibility for an honest mistake whereby an assistant was not available on the client's wedding day. We are regretful for this mistake and have taken corrective action to ensure it does not happen in the future. Lauren Brooks Photography has offered an appropriate refund and as a courtesy we have offered to re-edit any undesirable images identified. The client refused any re-editing services for the gallery and would not provide a description of the images deemed undesirable.
As of 1/23/2020, a refund was offered to the client in the dollar amount they originally requested, sent via certified mail. As of 2/23/2020 Lauren Brooks Photography has not received a response from the client in regards to the refund offered on 1/23/2020. Lauren Brooks Photography is beyond blessed to have photographed weddings and events for close friends, family, and clients. We at Lauren Brooks Photography are proud to have made countless friends from past clients and thankful to those who have been kind enough to leave glowing reviews. At this time, the client has been directed to contact Lauren Brooks Photography's hired attorney directly with any additional questions or concerns.
