I was given a dollar gift certificate for my birthday to this spa for a mani/pedi combo massage package worth I spoke to a girl name Tara to let her know that my certificate had expired and she told me it would not be an issueI then went in and used the certificate on 4/9/for the combo massage and mani/pediWell, they do not do those(mani/pedi) there any longer and I would have to drive to Surprise to use this portion of itHow niceI told a lady named Lori with a phone call before that my cert was expired and that I had spoken to Tara about itShe said no problemHad a great massage with Edgar, he did an excellent jobWhile at the front desk, Lori, who I have been told is the manager, rather rudely told me that they would not honor the certificate because it was expired Well, they knew this going inShe said it had been purged from the system and it expired in in MarchI asked, if it was purged, where was she getting this info from? I have been a customer for maybe years I always purchase their gift certificates I am aware that they have an expiration date and the surprise location will usually work with me to make sure that I can get in and use my certificates I am a difficult customer for them in that I am allergic to fragrance They have gone out of their way to make sure that the rooms and chemicals used have no fragrance When I was going through chemo I was unable to use two of my certificates and rather then letting them expire unused, they did not give me an extension, we were able to come to an agreement that two of my lady friends could do a "couple" massage I was happy that the monies I paid did not go to waste, I was happy that I gave my friends a happy experience and I appreciate that the surprise location let me have my friends use the coupons I do wish they didnt have fragrance at the entry That is my only complaint I think the staff does an excellent job and I am always happy when they have a sale
