On March 3, pursuant to a written sales agreement, my client, Sherri ***, sold a Golden Retrieverpuppy to the complainant, Nicole [redacted] The agreement referrers to environmental conditions that cancause orthopedic problems in Golden Retrievers so a limited discretionary warranty is provided with thesale of the puppyDiet, over exercising a puppy, and pediatric sterilization (neuter or spay) are allfactors that contribute to hip and elbow dysplasiaThose factors are outside the control of a carefulbreeding program, hence, the warrant is limited and discretionary.Ms [redacted] had her veterinarian preform a pediatric sterilization of the dog she purchased from Ms.LawHe was only four months of age when subjected to the procedureThe connection between earlyneuter and dysplastic conditions, specifically in the Golden Receiver, are well knownStudies haveshown a four time increase in incidences of hip and elbow dysplasia when this breed of dog is sterilizedearlySterilization removes organs that not only are needed for procreation, but they also producehormones that contribute to growth and emotional and physical developmentPrematureremoval of those organs have consequencesMs [redacted] ’s dog was diagnosed with one of thoseconsequences, mild elbow dysplasiaMs [redacted] was fully aware of the consequences of pediatricsterilization of a dog as she posted on [redacted] on August 12, an article stating that earlysterilization increases the incidences of hip & elbow dysplasiaMs [redacted] ’s veterinarian did notrecommend any course of treatment at this time and rated the dog’s pain as zero.Prior to breeding, [redacted] tests all of her dogs for a variety of known conditions, including hip andelbow dysplasia to reduce the risk of producing animals with hereditary conditionsNo breeder cancompletely eliminate all risksCongenital and hereditary conditions happen in even the most carefulbreeding programsBoth the puppy’s parents were tested and neither had issues that would precludethem producing a healthy litter of puppiesMs [redacted] ’s decision to sterilize the dog was a significantcontributing factor to her dog developing elbow dysplasia [redacted] has no control over what a buyerultimately does to increase the risk of orthopedic problems a dog might develop later in life.In spite of Ms [redacted] ’s contribution to her dog’s mild dysplasia which would negate any limitedwarranty, [redacted] offered to refund the purchase price upon return of the dogMs [redacted] chose toreject the offer and instead, engaged in a social media defamation campaignShe is trying to use the Revdex.com as a means of furthering the defamationWe strongly encourage yourorganization to refrain from assisting Ms [redacted] in her tortious conduct.Our response to the complaint is as follows:“Law Mannor takes all efforts possible to reduce the risk of producing puppies with inherited geneticconditions and offers a limited warranty for inherited conditionsMany conditions have no knowngenetic testing so the only evidence an animal has or carries a condition is if it is exhibited in the dog orits progenySome health conditions are caused by inherited traits and some are caused by theenvironmentSome conditions may require both a genetic predisposition and an environmental insultbefore a dog will exhibit any signs of an illness or diseaseWhen an owner exposes their puppy toenvironmental conditions that cause or significantly contribute to developing a disease, the ownerassumes liability for that condition, just like a car warranty would be voided if damage is caused bynegligent operationIn spite of studies that show pediatric spay and neuter significantly contribute toorthopedic problems in dogs, owners continue to spay and neuter very young animals and then blame abreeder if those conditions develop in their dogsPlease make sure you know all of the benefits andrisks of spay and neuter before you subject a young puppy to the procedureIf you feel you muststerilize your animal to reduce risk of unwanted pregnancy, consider an ovary sparing spay or vasectomyfor your petYou reduce the risk of abphysical and emotional growth associated with early spayand neuter when organs that produce hormones needed for that growth are spared.”

This letter from *** *** *** regarding this case of "early sterilization" is based on assumptions and lacking facts
I was never informed from the ***'s, (verbally, in writing, before, or after) of the possible negative effects, regarding being neutered "prematurely."
The only discussion of the sort, regarding "fixing" ages, was because another member in the sibling puppy group, posted a question inquiring about the ages dogs should be fixedThis person heard that fixing them "too young," could cause several health issuesI chimed in after her messages, saying basically, I just recently had Duke neutered, was saddened to hear about the chance Duke could suffer down the road because of thisSherri's response to the posting, and even after my comments, were merely that It's a personal preference
I was not, "fully aware of the consequences of pediatric sterilization of a dog as she posted on *** on August 12,2016."
That Date in August and *** conversation, was more than two months after I had Duke sterilizedJune 2nd,
The suggestion "it is well known," that there are possible dysplastic conditions that can occur, due to neutering too young, even at months of age, is ridiculousWith the exception of the *** discourse that occurred in August of and the few things I read during that occasion, I had never even heard of pediatric sterilization, nor have I heard mention of it sense
My Previous Golden Retriever, Buddy, was Neutered at months of ageThis age and procedure were recommended and performed, by *** ***
This current Golden Retriever, Duke, was Neutered at months of ageThis age and procedure were recommended and performed by Duke's veterinarian as well
This pediatric surgeon, who has been involved with Duke's diagnosis and care, never once, mentioned Duke's young age when he was fixed, or the possibility of that having created, or could be creating, problems of his sort
This "risk" of "pediatric sterilization," is not "well know." None of the qualified, Veterinary care Duke has received, has once caused mention of possible dysplasia effects, from "early" neuterHowever, the surgeon DID state that Duke's condition is Heritable and his parents should not be bred again
Lastly, I sent out an E-mail to Dukes surgeon, the day I received this replyI questioned him as to a possibility of Dukes month old neuter, having possibly caused his shorter bones and dysplasia in both forelimbs
He is not aware I am dealing with the Revdex.com, AKC, or the like, and I have no intentions of telling him
If this Dr, feels that Duke's neuter at months, could be/have been a significant contributing factor to his condition, I will consider this complaint resolved, and let it goIf not, I want my experience with Law Manor's English Cream Golden Retrievers, public record

We do have a signed contract with Nicole *** for the purchase of one of our puppies. Nicole did not follow the terms of our contract. We did however, agree to give Nicole a full refund of the puppy with the return of the puppy that she has threatened numerous times to put down.
We have had both the sire and the dam hips and elbows OFA examined, both parents received a "Good" rating on their hips and a rating on their elbows. These tests were done prior to ever breeding our dogs. This also was the last litter that both the sire and dam had together. Nicole has sent me harassing messages and has threatened us. She stalks our website so that every time she notices the dam is having another litter she sends us what she thinks is anonymous messages being sent through our website. She sent out a defamatory message to our other puppy buyers. We don't own the sires of our other breedings since that we have had with our dam, hence we don't advertise them on our website. We only advertise the dogs we own. No where on our website does it state that these two have bred together since, this has been an inaccurate assumption of Nicole's. We never breed a dam and sire together more that two breedings. This was their second breeding. That pairing was done. Hip dysplasia as well as elbow dysplasia is not only hereditary, but also environmental. We highly recommend to all of our puppy buyers that no puppy is spayed, nor neutered, prior to the age of two as spaying/neutering can affect the growth of the puppy, which in turn could cause a puppy to have hip dysplasia and/or elbow dysplasia. Nicole had her puppy neutered at the age of months old. Also, all puppy buyers are informed not to over exercise a young puppy as again this could cause hip/elbow dysplasia. Prior to the purchase of the puppy, I offered to give Nicole a refund of her non-refundable deposit due to her behavior at my home during a puppy visit. Prior to picking up the puppy, I again offered Nicole a refund of her deposit due to her behavior. Even though Nicole did not follow the terms of our signed contract, I also offered a full refund of the purchase price with the return of the puppy that she again threatened several times to put down.I'm attaching our complete Puppy Purchase Agreement and also the OFA's (Orthopedic Foundation of Animals) for both Murphy and Maggie the Sire and Dam respectively. As you will be able to see, both parents received clearances with passing scores to breed
