After I wrote to you and the CA Stat Bar AssnI did finally get a third check to complete the payment the office of Bowman & Associates owed meHowever they seem to have a problem of lyingI did not threaten anyoneI did tell the man who called me not to call my number againI had had enough of the firm and will never do business with them againHe said he wanted to discuss the matter and I had so much trouble with the attylying about what he did not doI was given the refund after a representative from ARAG called to get added information from meI did not get any EmailsI did say do not call me anymore Did not say shut up or else

I am rejecting this response because:the checks were never mailedThey were just delivered to me by one of the owners if the firm

At this time we are working on getting the checks to the client.They were mailed to him on December 20th and we just received word today from the client that they were never received.We are working now to track the checks in the mail and get them to the client ASAP

I was given  the refund after a representative from ARAG called to get added information from me. I did not get any Emails. I did say do not call me anymore Did not say shut up or else

We retained this law office to help my terminally ill mother with a divorce. We signed the Petition and returned it as requested. The petition was not filed for 3 weeks. A few weeks later more paperwork was filled out and returned by e-mail as requested. We were then asked by the secretary if we were going to send back the information, to which I responded that we already did. At the hearing for spousal support, the attorney showed up 45 minutes late, without a phone call to us, only to the court. At the hearing the attorney did not have any of the paperwork and was going to requested a copy from OPC. I told him that I received the paperwork from his secretary, Diane A[redacted]. It was like he did not know what was going on at all with this case. A few weeks later I sent an e-mail asking about what was next and how to speed up the process due to my mother's condition, and I got a nasty gram back from Ms. A[redacted]. I forwarded a substitution of attorney to the attorney to sign and return. As of this date I have only received an e-mail copy back. It has been 3 weeks and I cannot file a substitution of attorney. I have also requested an accounting and return of the remainder of our retainer returned, and have not heard anything yet. Not a very good law office

Additionally, the day after receiving this I contacted the...

client via email asking her to call me to discuss and she never did.
 
Furthermore, I contacted the client via phone and informed her who I was and that I was calling to resolve an issue she has with us and our billing.  Her exact words were, "Shut up and do not ever call this number again or else."
 
I had contacted her once more leaving a voicemail asking her to call back, and she never has.
 
I have not pursued it any further as I felt threatened and am afraid as to what she may do if I keep calling her.
 
Please let me know what else we can do.
 
Please rest assured though that this person DID in fact receive 100% of their funds back.

Review: I retained an attorney from this firm in May of 2014. A settlement was made in December 2014 and payment was sent to the firm on December 19th 2014. Scans of the checks were uploaded to my client folder on the firms website detailing the payments. After 5 calls to the firm I still have not received a call back. When I call I'm told that I have to speak to [redacted] about receiving my payment and she is not returning my calls and does not seem to be available when I call. I simply want my payments due to me and I'm hoping the Revdex.com can assist me in recovering these assets.Desired Settlement: I simply want to pick up the two checks made out to me for my settlement.

The Attorney I'm having a problem with is [redacted] Esq. State Bar number is [redacted].

I have been trying to get my refund from that office since August of 2013. I gave my Sears MC to pay for future cost for trying to get visitation rights with my great-grand kids I had not seen for 7 months.

I got some of the money back but not all.Desired Settlement: I'm pleading with you, please try to resolve this. It makes me sick to see people like this to try and take advantage of an already bad situation.
