Select Decks built my deck in At the time, he offered to complete a deck and patio Given the cost of the combined project, I chose to do the deck first and patio at a later day The deck turned out well and he even came out to stabilize a wobbly railing A year later, we were ready to start the patio He took $26,up front and completed about 10% of our $36,project He stopped coming by when he said he would and he stopped returning phone calls He left a mess on our property and damaged our sidewalk and lawn with his heavy equipment After several months of no progress, we looked for help to finish the work We were lucky to find someone who would complete the project although a portion of it had to be redone as Select Decks had made no plans to properly drain the patio In the future, I would not advance that much money to any contractor until the project is complete

Contractor accepted a $25,deposit to begin work on a deck, was weeks before the deck was startedAfter started the contractor stated that they would be completed in weeks, as of today, over weeks later the deck still isn't half way completedContractor doesn't work on the project but maybe or days a week and gets very little done on the days they workHe continues to make promises of things to be done but doesn't follow through with the promises
I would love to get another contractor to finish this deck but I'm into this guy for 25,and I fear I will never see my deck or my money
