Review: I rented a car from [redacted] rent a Car at Orange county airport (SNA) on Jan 11th 2014 and returned the car on Jan 18th at 5:45 AM. When I returned the vehicle on Jan 18th the car was looked over by a [redacted] employee for damage. None was found and I was given a receipt that no money extra money was due. I was contacted by [redacted] on the 26th of Feb 2014 and was told that his client ([redacted] rent a Car) had filed a damage claim against me. I sent Mr. [redacted] the check out receipt that I received from [redacted] that indicated no damage to the vehicle when I returned it. Mr. [redacted] informed me that he would forward that receipt to [redacted]. I was informed by Mr. [redacted] April 29th 2014 that his client ([redacted] rent a Car) had done a thorough investigation of the matter and had determined that the damage did not exist before I rented the car. I agree with this. What I don't agree with is that I returned it with damage. I am not responsible for damages that occur AFTER I have returned a vehicle. Any damage that was done to the vehicle occurred AFTER I returned it. [redacted] rent a Car and [redacted] A. [redacted] and Associates are claiming that I owe [redacted] rent a Car for damages and that I owe [redacted] and Associates a fee for trying to collect money from me. I am not responsible for damages to a vehicle that occurred after it was returned. Furthermore, I have provided evidence that the vehicle was returned with no damage. I have contacted [redacted] Rent a Cars general manager at Orange county airport twice and received no response. I have also contacted [redacted] A. [redacted] and associates and have received no response. This is a scam.Desired Settlement: A letter from [redacted] A. [redacted] and Associates and [redacted] Rent a Car stating that I do not nor have I ever owed [redacted] rent a car or [redacted] A. [redacted] and Associates any money.
