I was charged $for a crime I committed back in OctoberMy income is not steady so I agreed to a payment plan for $50/month I paid $on November 19th, believing that would take care of at least three months I have since then broken my phone & had to receive a new number and currently not in the home where my mail is received haven't been for two weeks so if they've been trying to contact me I have not received it I got the $I was ready to pay I called the phone number & it stated I have a current balance of $total out to a $payment that I knew NOTHING aboutNow I'm being very responsible for my actions due to the fact that it is my fault, but I will not pay anything more than the originated charge, I refuse to do so I will pay the $anything higher I cannot afford I tried calling about six times, but it keeps telling me the office is closed and if that's the case for future references you guys need to put the holiday hours
PS: the person I originally spoke with about the payment agreement had a nasty tone in her voice I understand what your job is, but apparently after reading your reviews you all need to reevaluate your staff and how they speak with peopleVery distasteful and disrespectful
I had a similar experience as the other review on here. I was paying monthly and on 2 payments I was a few days late with the payment. The first time that it happened nothing was said. The next time it was the next to the last payment. I only had $50 left to pay, when I got a letter saying that I owed $450 more. The amount that I owed to the company was only $98 and there was over $300 in fews just for their fees. I ended up paying $400 for $98 that I owed the orignal company. And then was charged the late fee of $450. I havent been avle to pay the last couple of months because I lost my job and now there is no contact. $450 seems a bit much for a late fee, especially since it happened right before my final payment. Seems like someone is just trying to get all the money they can from people. So in reality I have paid my debt then some. Something needs to be done about this...its seems that I am not the only one that it has happened to.
I received a letter in the mail regarding a collection of dept, I called for information and they refused to provide
I received a letter in the mail regarding a settlement offer and civil liability for shoplifting. I have never shop lifted and was never arrested for shoplifting. I called for information and they refused to provide any information regarding it other then the letter I received. The letter I received gives no information or the ability to defend myself against the actions. When I asked for proof they refused to provide and at that point would only said that I would have to pay or they would sue. I have no proof of this debt or the crime they are accusing me of.
