I am writing in response to a complaint to your office by [redacted] ***Ms [redacted] was retained by our office to represent her in a slip and fall type accidentThe court dismissed the case under a motion for summary judgementThere was no recoveryAt the time Ms [redacted] retained our office she signed a fee agreementI have attached a sample of our fee agreement as Ms***'s is confidentialAs you can see we cannot and do not guarantee any resultFurther while we do waive attorney fees in cases where there is no recovery we do not make any such promise as to medical billsPlease note the fourth paragraph on page two, states If no money is recovered by settlement or judgment, Client will not be responsible for payment of attorney fees or reimbursement of costs, but Client shall be responsible fir payment of all medical expenses." We also do not "send" our clients to doctorsWe do give referrals if client is looking to find a doctor who will wait until case is completed to billMs [redacted] chose to seek treatment from Healthpoint and signed a lien for payment to HealthpointI have attached a copy of a lien used by HealthpointAgain this contract specifically states that she will be responsible for payment regardless of outcome We are not required to but our office as a service to the client will attempt to negotiate and/or attempt to have the doctor write off a bill if there is a hardshipHowever, we have no control over these decisions as they are made by the doctorsIn Ms***' case we were able to get the majority of her medical providers to write off her billsHealthpoint was not willing, because she would not contact them to justify the hardshipHealthpoint stated that they attempted to contact Ms [redacted] at least six times and documented each call including times Ms [redacted] hung up on themMs [redacted] did not advise us that she had ongoing conversations with Healthpoint so that we could intercede on her behalfThe decision by doctor was made due to actions by Ms [redacted] and not our office

I am rejecting this response because:I did contact Ripley's & Associates when I was contacted by health point and I was told that they didn't know the medical provider and that I would have to get all information but all of the information was in my filesRipley's did send me to said provider I didn't even know of the medical provider until they made the appointment for me picked me up from my home because I had no transportation to get there so none of that is trueAs far as Health point I did try talking to them but they called instantly harrasing me and telling me that Ripley's told them not that my case was lost but that they quit on me there for I felt that they were line and simply harassing me so I hung up

I retained Ripleys & Associates to represent me in an law suit for which I was not obligated to pay any bills or fees unless I won my case The Attorneys instructed me to recieve medical attention from Healthpoint Medical Group and Beverly Radiology for my injuries After receiving services my case eventually was lost so I wasn't obligated contractually to pay the medical providers according to my agreement with RipleysAfter almost a year of my case being closed I began to be billed by the medical providers so I called Ripleys & Associates they told me that they didn't know who the medical providers were I asked that they simply look in my files , I was told that they didn't have that information I then gave them all the information that they needed and still nothing this has all affected my credit and i'm still being forced to pay these now creditors for which Ripleys & Assciates have an assciation with and are not correcting this problem
