The law firm performed no more than hours work of work on our behalf and kept out $retainer. The only work performed was the initial filing of paperwork to ***When I complained to the Law Firm and ask to speak to someone regarding my billing compliant, the person put on the phone with me was the law firms General CounselI explained the situation and he said nothing could be done. In my opinion, the actions performed by this Law Firm were unethical and violates the Lawyer's Code of Professional Responsibility. This law firm should be investigated for this issue and to see if this a recurring issues were they are taking advantage of innocent people who are using a lawyer to help manage cases with the Government regarding Green Card and Immigration status.

I went into the law firm Offices of Spar & Bernstein, P.C. September 2016. I was overly Joyed, when I was told, I could be helped. I pay my retainer fee. I got of list of things I needed. The paraligal told what was of at most important, I tried to get the ones that were important. I was under the impression that my case was being taken cared of. I pay by Bill every month. In January 2017, I made a call. Only to find out nothing had yet being done. I was told I needed everything first before they could be submitted. Now I am a client, I know nothing about immigration. I am depending souls on my lawyer to guide me. if I didn't call, in January 27, I wouldn't have know that my paper work was still sitting there. No one bother to call me or informed me of anything.. I have never met with my lawyer only paralegals or other lawyer. I had to ask a bunch of questions to my lawyer, which I think annoyed her. I'm just lost, hurt and feel like I'm a fish out of a water. I don't think my lawyer care because she's not going through, what I am going through. I'm at my ropes end.

Review: My wife and I provided the law firm $3600 retainer to handle our case. The legal assistance filed the initial paperwork and the law firm did nothing further. We cancelled the service with the law firm and requested the remainder of our retainer and the law firm refused to give us anything back claiming the entire $3600 was being marked as charged for handling the case, even though the only thing that had been done was 1-2 hours of initial paperwork filing and 2 follow up contacts to [redacted]. This law firm ripped us off.Desired Settlement: The law firm should refund us the balance of our money which should be at least $2500.

Review: I am client with the company, I call my lawyer, she do not return my calls. When I call to ask to speak with [redacted], I am tried to someone voice mail because he is not there or in a meeting. Every month I pay my bill, but I cannot get in contact with my attorney that I am paying for.
