We are in receipt of your letter of November 17th, 2015 and provide you with the following information.
On September 24th, we received the initial call from Local [redacted]'s representative, [redacted], regarding water entry into their building. I asked...

whether this is something they wanted a price on before we came. The answer I received from their representative, [redacted], was no because regardless, it needs to be repaired. He mentioned how Lawmasters had originally put the roof on, and it was my impression, he wanted to use the same firm to resolve the leak issue, perhaps thinking the Warranty was still active. Later, looking into the paperwork of the original job, it revealed the roof warranty for this roof expired in 2013.
Our repair crew, consisting of two tradesmen, was dispatched to handle the problem.
After investigating the issue, it was determined water was entering through the masonry wall and not the roof. While there, our technicians inspected the entire roof and determined the roof system installed by Lawmasters continues to be sound.
Investigating roof leaks is somewhat of an "unknown" as water can travel underneath multiple layers of materials and has to be traced back to its original leak location. That is why, when requested by the customer, we will by all means share with them what our rates are, and if we suspect there may be some -unknowns" involved, we can even provide a not-to-exceed pricing if necessary. In this particular case, it was determined by our technicians, the roof was not the issue.
When it was all said and done, we had a total of 8 man hours involved, 7 of those in drive time. While we regret not being able to adjust the rates our men are paid for drive time verses technical time, we did adjust the invoice down to appease the situation.

This is exactly why I filed the Revdex.com complaint because this individual, Ruthann [redacted]'s, memory pertaining to our conversation is entirely inaccurate.
I was never once asked whether I wanted a price or not. Who in their right mind would not ask for an actual price? According to her story, they could have sent 15 people and just charged me whatever they wanted based upon her recollection.
There was never an opportunity provided to me for a quote and I was completely surprised by the charge.
Seeing this response which is entirely false, reminds me why I will never do business with this entity again.
I also hope that this serves as a red flag to those who are considering doing business with this provider and research their business practices.
Absolutely sad the way they treat their customers.
