Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:1) I never reached out to lawn doctor to cancel my service prior to season. Lawn doctor's claim that I called them to cancel the service is a blatant lie.    Why would I do so when I had already paid 90% of the installment amount? Lawn doctor themselves cancelled the service as they were not comfortable with my disagreement on the final service. Its very unfortunate to see such dishonest sales associates who keep  repeating false information so customers would give in finally. You are actually losing customers by dishonesty. You can see the attached email conversation where lawn doctor themselves cancelled the service without asking me prior to cancellation after we had disagreements on the final service.2) I refused to pay the final installment as I did not receive the final service. Lawn doctor did not leave the service receipt on the day of the final service, nor did they leave a lawn doctor flag (white flag) on my lawn as a proof they performed the service. When I raised this with Lawn doctor, they kept saying that the machine/card showed reading and that it means that they performed service on my lawn and asked me to accept that. Inspite of our mutual disagreements, I requested Lawn doctor to produce a copy of the service receipt dated 10/24 signed by John(our service person) which they failed to produce. If infact they provided me some kind of proof I would have paid the final installment. You can read from the attached email conversation about my request for proof and my willingness to pay $70 (the final installment) if they produced the proof. They never did, instead threatened to go to collections if I dont pay. Its very funny to hear them stating that I needed free service...shame on Lawn doctor of Springfield.I got the collections notice as well last month, and I responded to the collections agency with the above information.Once again, as I stated in emails to Lawn doctor, I will pay $70 if they produce a copy of the receipt dated 10/24. (Not the meter/card reading, but a copy of the receipt).Regards,

Review: Lawn doctor did not perform my winter lawn service on 10/24/2014.(it was the final service of the year). They claim the service was performed and are forcing me to pay the $70 for the final installment when I refused as the service was not rendered. I was at home all day on 10/24/2014, no one came to perform winter treatment from lawn doctor. There was no receipt left on my mailbox nor the lawn doctor flag on my lawn. (which they usually do). I sent them the several emails but the continued to deny that the service was not performed and threatened to go to collections if I do pay the final installment. I was persistent and asked them for a copy of the receipt dated 10/24 which they didnt provide. today I got a mail from the collections agency that I have to pay $115.21 which is totally unacceptable.Desired Settlement: Remove the unwarranted charges of $115.21 and withdrawn the collection complaint...

They should stop threatening/forcing me to pay $70 for the service that was not rendered and for which they have not provided any proof.

Response:

[redacted] requested we service his property with 5 service applications and a spring lime application in 2014. His request was confirmed and it was noted that if he wished to cancel he should contact us and he would be charged for applications we applied as noted on the technicians service card report. At the end of the season he called to cancel this service and our office confirmed that he would be charged for the annual treatment and lime. He claimed at this time that he did not receive the 5th application and refused to pay the balance due. The service card was pulled and he was told that the technician had indeed applied the application and the date and time was provided. [redacted] stated that he would not pay for that application because he disagreed. The office personnel he spoke with let him know that he was indeed serviced and that his account would be sent to collections for refusing final payment and that he was also being charged a late fee on his account. His account was broken into 8 monthly installments ($70.22 for 8 months) for his convenience and the last payment is the amount due plus $40 in late charges. I do believe that he is trying to get a free application and feels that his constant arguing will make Lawn Doctor drop the charges.
