I had hired Lawncare Logics ([redacted]. [redacted] to do landscaping work for me. I had met with him on June 14, 2013 and went over everything again with him that we needed done. He drafted a contract which we both signed. I had given him $1500 deposit by check. He was to begin work on 6/18 and work full days (including saturday) and be completed with the job on 6/25 with the remaining $1500 due upon completion. He was delayed and did not begin until 6/19. He worked for a few hours on 6/19. He came on 6/20 for a very short time. He came on 6/21 for 2 hours...indicating that he didn't have enough money for gas for the excavator. He acted as if he wanted me to front more money (even though contract was not requiring I do that). I gave him $500 more in cash and he gave me a written receipt. He never showed up on 6/22 ("car trouble"). He dug huge holes in yard and left them causing more water damage than we originally had; he did not remove the stone wall, level and replace stone wall as written in the contract). On Monday 6/24 the excavator was being picked up and the backhoe delivered. I had asked him if he was going to have enough time to finish the excavator work due to not being able to put in the full days as he anticipated and he said yes. He arrived on Monday 6/24, stayed for an hour to awaited the excavator pickup. That was the last time we saw him. When I got home that evening, I noticed there was no backhoe. I phoned and was told that the backhoe "was in the shop". I was continually blown off on each call and each e-mail to him (*I have e-mail trail for reference). He has neither responded to myself or my husband as to whether or not he plans to be held to contract. I asked him repeatedly for his tax identification number (he did not supply). His address is listed as [redacted] and his phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX.Desired Settlement$2000.00 refund.
