Review: On 2/**/14, met with [redacted] Photography and Video [redacted], and we paid a portion of the required deposit $650.00 of $1300.00 for their services for our wedding on 4/**/14, since then we have exchanged numerous emails with the business in regards to cancelling our service and refunded us the money we placed down. Dear [redacted],

On the date of February [redacted], 2014, my fiancé and I met with your [redacted] and after reviewing the samples of your work, paid a portion of the deposit needed to retain your photography and videography services for our wedding on April [redacted], 2014 at the Sand Castle. Since this date, we have reviewed the samples of your work over and over and are just not at ease with our decision to retain your company. We searched endlessly for online reviews with many unsettling ones and found virtually no online samples of your work as your company has a very limited online presence. We’ve asked some of our vendors that have worked with you in the past, and they were uneasy to recommend you. Also, upon knowing that our wedding was being held at the Sand Castle – having worked there many times prior, the sample of a wedding that you sent us to review was of a simpler, smaller scale wedding of a gay couple. While [redacted] sent us a message saying that their wedding photos came out amazing and we should take a look, the only thing these photos demonstrated, was that you’ve booked a gay wedding before. I’m not sure what the intention was in showing us these proofs as they don’t represent in any way the type of wedding we are having. It was very offensive. At this point, we would like to terminate any further proceeding with the booking of this contract. As we’ve only paid a partial amount of the deposit needed to retain you, the part in the contract referring to cancellations and retainers does not apply due to the balance of the deposit not having been paid in full. We would like the money currently given, to be returned. Respectfully, due to the lack of encouragements from various sources that have dealt with your company in the past, and our personal experience to date, we need to terminate our working relationship.

I am in receipt of your e-mail. I am taken back quite a bit. I am so surprised that any vendor would have negative feed back on our studio. Sand Castle would never recommend vendors that are not reputable.

We had such a wonderful sitting and you both were so happy with the session, you signed the contract on the spot to use our services for April **, 2014.

I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you both. I tried leaving a message today.

If there is anything I can do to possibly re-vamp or modify or create a new photo and video package, that would be my pleasure.

Please feel free to call me at anytime on my private cell. I will be very happy to assist you in anyway to please you both. I am sorry the gay wedding you had viewed before we met was not a large scale wedding. Please be assured that we can cover a large scale wedding.

Dear [redacted],

My fiancé and I have done a significant amount of thinking prior to the email sent last night. Unfortunately, we simply cannot proceed with using your services. While you made every effort to make us comfortable and we both appreciate that greatly, we are looking for a different artistic style of work. This has nothing to do with the type of photo/video package selected. At our last meeting, we decided to put a portion of the deposit down. Unfortunately, we made this decision more so in part to your workable payment options than to our satisfaction of the work. While we agree that the samples of the albums we looked at were very nice, it was not what we were looking for as far as artistic vision in the shots themselves. We only get to take our wedding photos once and we simply cannot take a risk on something so important to us. At this time, we need to cancel any further proceedings with this contract and are seeking reimbursement of the partial deposit given. We appreciate the effort made on your behalf to reach out to us and the hospitality shown to us while in your office.

We haven't heard anything in regards to our reimbursement we requested, We are following up on the reply email we sent you.

I would like to retract the complaint, the business is working out the details with us and they have open communication with us.
