Complaint: 12382627I am rejecting this response because: Hi ***, Please see my response below After ***'s subcontractor (Mexican) finish shingles install, a few days later [redacted] come by at 9:am on July for the payment My wife comments the charge of rafters for $He said to us your culture always want to bargainThen he threatens to lien our property in not pay in full [redacted] acted like a drug dealerWe told him go inside the house for talkHe denied and screamed loudly in front of our house so neighbors are annoyed and asked us what going on [redacted] never walks thru the work to show us what have doneWe never approve anything from the work yetBecause the roof on top of the house which is not easy to see and inspect On July 18, the inspector, ***, came inspect and pointed out the area without shinglesWe only knew this issue by this day On July 19, I texted [redacted] the picture of area without shingles and called himHe said that will have someone to put shingles on itLater, [redacted] called and said the rubble material IB is fineAnd he does not change to ShinglesWe came to the city inspection and addressed the problem to senior inspectorThe inspector said either shingles or IB are in the codeHe said the materials are up to us to select On the contract, we never agreed to replace shingles materials with rubble sheetWe paid for Shingles materials not a cheap rubble IB We spoke to our sister, ***My sister called and talked to ***she said [redacted] is rude and discriminate because we are Asian-American, Caucasian do not bargainHe is wrong even president Trump bargain for buying airplanes with Lockheed Martin as we knewBefore start the contract, he come and talk nicely to usAfter collected all money, his attitude changed oppositely We did have a few roof contractors gave the bids for roof installationWe picked sonrise roofing because [redacted] installed new roof for my brother more than years agoMy brother said he is reasonable and goodWe thought he is white contractor and is Revdex.com member who can be trustedIf we know he act like this, we will not hire him and hire other Chinese or Mexican roof contractorsIt is the tricky business On Sep 16, a carpenter who also do roof installation talked to [redacted] at our houseThe contractor told us that it is fine to put Shingles in the IB area nowThere is slope As [redacted] mentioned to us before the work , most of city inspectors are his old friends We want replace IB materials with Shingles materials as stated in the contract CC ***, [redacted] Sincerely,Tu Nguyen
