Review: I have sent 5 different documents to be served by what was advertised as a process server. Only to find out that [redacted] does not have a process server license and the affidavits provided included untrue statements. Specifically, there is a notary on all 5 affidavits of service which is NOT listed as a notary in New York State. In addition, further review indicates that [redacted] had his process server license revoked back in 2009Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded all of the money I have paid Lawson Legal which includes 5 different request totaling $425.00.

Review: My Attorney [redacted] hired [redacted] of Lawson Legal Services to serve 2 legal documents - 1 summons & complaint & 1 family offense petition. (1) Lawson texted me that the summons & complaint was served on 9/**/2014 but then refused to deliver or give me an Affidavit of Service because I was curious as to how he served the papers (personal, US Mail, lobby, etc) and now the problem is the Defendant had 20 days to answer - 10/*/14 (tomorrow) & we need to file for a default judgment or Request for Judicial Intervention, but I can't because this man won't give me the Affidavit of Service (which I require). The referring attorney [redacted] also can not explain this man's behavior. Lawson was also texted payment by credit card.(2) With regard to the serving of the family offense petition, we had family court dates on 9/*/2014 & again on 10/*/2014 & each time Lawson either refused or failed to provide an Affidavit of Service OR an Affidavit of Evasion (which states he tried to serve the Defendant but could not due to Defendant's dodging/ducking of service of legal process). The end result of this poor behavior, unprofessional service & gross misconduct caused the Judge in family court to grow extremely irate & angry at my attorney [redacted] in court & also to once again adjourn the court hearing to 10/**/2014 & not allow either myself or my 2 young children to obtain an order of protection against a very dangerous lunatic Defendant. Sick & twisted Lawson faxed the Affidavit to my lawyer at 5:19 PM on the 10/* court date, after court closed.This has now jeopardized our cases, but has now also endangered both my safety and my 2 children.Lawson, even though me and my attorney have reached out to him several times refuses to either answer, explain his actions, deal with the issues, or be responsive to our vocal complaints and frustration.This man should lose his license to serve legal process immediately as he is both a danger & a menace to the legal community & civilized society as wholeDesired Settlement: Tell him to get me the Affidavit of Service (or Evasion) for the Summons & Complaint before 10/*/2014 as well as an Affidavit of Service (or Evasion) for the Family Offense Petition before the next family court date of 10/**/14. And then tell him to clean up his act, be more professional, and stop acting so immaturely on legal matters of great concern to everybody.

Review: [redacted] was hired as a Process Server, I found his business through the internet. After conversation with [redacted], I thought he would be able to do a good job as a Process Server. He had to serve my tenant twice, 1st time a 3-Day Notice and the 2nd time a 5 Day Notice. It appears that the tenant never received the 5 Day Notice and took us to court for failure to serve. [redacted] did not want to go to court to confirm his service, or could we find anything in the court file indicating a Certified Receipt for mailing the documents. On several occasions [redacted] said he would send a check and even said he would credit my [redacted] account. Its been over two months that [redacted] has been made aware of this situation and no refund was issued. He even had a friend call us to discuss the problems with [redacted] cases in [redacted] court, and why they can be difficult to win. To date I have not received any refund from [redacted], and I do believe he tried to pull a fast one. Now I have to start service with the tenant over again, lose another month of rent, and I will pay a lawyer to do the work.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate [redacted] standing by his word and refunding payment of $190 for both service.

He did refund my money, but he is incompetent and rude. He tried to serve for the only time on a Sunday, when serving of papers is not permitted in New York City, and he posted it on the wrong door, even though it was the first time to serve and he guarantees two tries at least. Do not waste your time using this company.
