Owner of this business forced me to give him money after breaking down outside his business.At around 1pm this afternoon 9/29/15 my car broken down as I was passing by this location. I pulled into this gas station as to not be stuck in the road. I went inside to tell the clerk what had happened since I had to wait for the tow truck. The clerk who also happened to be the owner was immediately extremely rude and asked if I was blocking his [redacted] that were in the parking lot which I answered that I was not. Next I called [redacted] to tow my car while I was on the phone with them (so this was all recorded by their system) I very nicely asked the owner for their address to give to [redacted]. He started yelling at me and telling me that I could not speak to him this way. At this point I became very scared of this man, even the women on the phone from [redacted] commented on how mean this man was being. [redacted] advised me that it would be about two hours before they could arrive. When I relayed this to the clerk he became more upset and started demanding that I give him money as a rental fee for being on his property. He made me pay him $10 for the car being there. Since I paid him the money I asked him to give the key to the car to the tow truck driver when he arrive so I would not have to wait. When the tow truck driver got there he refused to give him the key and verbally abused him (again all on recording with [redacted] as the driver was not he phone with the office). Eventually the driver convinced him to give up the key after the owner made him go outside before he would give it up. What this owner did is not right. Not only should he not be in a customer driven business he needs personal help. He scared me and I forced me to give him money.Desired SettlementI want this man to return the money that he forced me to give him and I would like it known to any other potential customers the service he provides and the potential danger for using his establishment.Business Response On September 29 about 1 pm a car stopped on one of the pumps on my gas station more than 15 minutes , then a lady walked in ask me if she can leave the car ,I answered the lady yes but if the car stays more than two hours we charge 10 $ .she said okay , and said I am going to give the key and leave and the [redacted] will come to pick it up . At about 6.30 [redacted] called me for the , and asked me what was wrong with the car . I told the car is not mine, I only have the key for it . He said I'll call the owner and take care of it. After an hour and a half a driver of [redacted] showed up and I gave him the key and went out to help him load the car and he thanked me and the car and left.
