Review: My van was having transmission problems. I called Lawson's, the closest place to where I left my van. I was able to get it into drive sometimes but it would not make it up hills without slipping out of gear. After running a diagnostic, Mr. Lawson told me that they would try to fix it by putting a part in it. I was thrilled but skeptical since a lot of people told me the transmission was probably broken and would need replacing. Mr. Lawson told me in no uncertain terms, if replacing this part did not fix it, he would not charge me. He called me later and said the van was fixed. I drove it 10 miles and it was not fixed. The transmission was still slipping out of gear on hills, just like it was doing before. He refused to refund me any money. I even offered to accept half of the total bill and he still refused. I would never have agreed to have work done on the van without his assurance that if it didn't fix it, he would give me a refund. I don't have the money to play around with and was already thinking of saving for another vehicle. I do not have the money to replace a transmission. He took $500 from me and did not fix anything wrong with my van. He just took $500 from me.Desired Settlement: I would like Mr. Lawson to refund the money. He said he wouldn't charge me if he didn't fix it. He said my van was fixed when it wasn't. He lied to me in order to take my money and the van is in the same condition as when it was first towed to his shop.

Review: I took my vehicle to have a muffler put on and instead of that they put a cherry bomb on it which was broken inside , so I called the lady at the desk ( winter) and told her I was not satisfied with the way my truck sounded , it was horrible and I paid 181.00 for that and asked that they fix it right and she advised me that they would and to bring it back , so I took it back the next day to have it repaired and it cost me an additonal 45.00 which it should not have , I paid the 45 $ and left with my truck , a truck that had NOTHING wrong other than the muffler needing to be fixed started jumping , squealing and smelling terrible . I dont have a clue what they did to my truck but clearly something was done to it !Desired Settlement: I want my money back for the repairs and also the money to fix my emergency brake that they messed up .

In regards to the complaint, customer stated she wanted a cherry bomb to replaced her cherry bomb. we did as requested, she later called me back, she was very unhappy. we did everything we could put a new Flowmaster muffler in which she left happy, and loved the way it sounded. [redacted] did not tell the truth and I am having issues with my emergency brake since they have had my vehicle and they charged me for a cherry bomb that was taken off my truck and they kept it , so I have paid for a cherry bomb that they still have .

We charged her the difference between the Flowmaster and the Cherry Bomb, Flowmaster is more expensive. We did not charge any labor to put on the Flowmaster after taking off the Cherry Bomb and installing the Flowmaster. As far as the emergency brake, we put the vehicle up on the lift changed the muffler and that was it. We did not touch the emergency brake.
