We hired this company to replace insulation in the ceiling of our garage we were assured by their salesman that the crew would move what they had to move and replace it The crew installed insulation, bur did not replace what was stored there Worse, they left wires handing and a light fixture cord up in their new insulation We had to pay our handyman $to correct their mistakes On top of it all, we received what I can only consider a "snotty" email form the salesman demanding payment and stating that his crew had not done anything they were not contracted to do..We paid their bill only because I did not want anyone from their company in my house again/ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I had to tell the installers how to install the insulation; and they did not install the proper hatch cover to the atticI would never recommend this company to anyoneThe work was done in Feb

that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The response received by Revdex.com from *** of Layman Brothers is an outright lie. Not only did they not reinstall the downspout, but they have not been in communication with me either. I had stated to *** when I launched the complaint with Revdex.com and when talking with her today, that I do not want Layman Brothers to come back to the house to remedy anything. The outright lie they gave you as a response to your inquiry only solidifies my opinion of the company in general. I would just like to have future customers know about their lack of customer service and not have to go thru a similar situation. Thank you Revdex.com for all of your good work

Revdex.com spoke with a representative who provided the following response: He said that the roof was already old and in poor condition and missing shingles before they did any work to it, and that the entire roof needs to be replacedHe stated that the shingles are asphalt (tar) shingles, and
that when they're bent, which is what took place in this situation, they won't bend back while they're cold, and that the shingles would need a hot summer day to return back to laying flat

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Attached is a copy of the invoice for the NEW roof we had installed when we purchased the house. I have included photos of the damaged shingles, as well as a photo example (there are a dozen more photos) of the workmanship provided by Layman & Son. Of note, the gutter guards were installed mid-summer, so the argument that they "needed time to relax" is invalid. We paid Layman & Son in full for the installation of gutter guards, which we will now have to pay ANOTHER company to repair, due to the shoddy quality of work. I think it is fair that they pay to repair the shingles they damaged.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]This company is a complete joke. They want nothing to do with you after receiving payment. Please stay away from this Company. There are too many other Companies that will actually call you and go off what is going over. Spend your money else where even if it might cost you more. They say one thing and do another. You have been warned.

Review: I have concerns that the gutters were installed improperly almost 4 weeks ago. I've emailed and called the sales representative [redacted] that gave the estimate and arranged installation. After he was non responsive, I called and spoke to Nick. He stated he would have the installation foreman come to the house and contact me. That did not occur. After a week passed, I then called and asked for the owner, but left a message for him as I was told he was unavailable. [redacted] then called 3-4 hours later, and said Jimmy was supposed to take care of it and he would follow up with Jimmy and let me know. I still haven't been contacted. I continue to have improper installation, with no responsiveness from this company. Poor installation, poor customer service from all.Desired Settlement: I wish this complaint to stay on file so that other homeowners would not have to experience this.

Review: We had Layman & Son install the Rhino Gutter Guard system on our gutters, which was poorly installed and incomplete. Additionally the installation caused damage to our existing roof shingles. We have tried repeatedly to have the shingle issue addressed, and have sent photos by email and left messages for our salesman by phone with no reply.Desired Settlement: We need to have the shingles repaired that were damaged. If they cannot repair the shingles, then reimbursement for our expenses to have them fixed is fair.
